I'm guessing this one has to be approved... I'm unsure.Name: Ember Larose

Godly Parent: Athena, but at birth was blessed by Hestia. She considers Hestia like her second mother. Hestia also visits her often.
Powers: Intelligence, Partially immune to fire (so like doesn't burn until like after a minute), unnaturally good cook.
Weapons?: She doesn't like confrontation, but if she has to she likes her celestial bronze frying pan as her weapon of choice. The reasoning behind this is when she came to camp she didn't have a weapon but there was a monster in her way, so she took out her celestial bronze frying pan (gift from Hestia) and killed the monster.

Other: When Ember first arrived at camp she hadn't told anyone about the blessing from Hestia and how close she was with the Goddess. Soon Chiron found out but it isn't public knowledge yet. Also, she is like the appointed chef of CHB, whenever there's a special occasion they whip up a feast for everyone even though they could just get food from the pavilion, the campers swear that her food is so much better.
Strongest Skill: Keeping people from fighting and bringing people together with food.
Weakest Skill: Anything to do with water, she doesn't know why but she can't stand water. Ember also has super high anxiety and tends to panic easily.
Favourite Pass-Time: She loves to curl u with a good book by the fire and just read. Also loves to sneak into the big house and cook up a storm of cookies to de-stress.

Powers/Skills: Good at mediating arguments and getting ppl to compromise, If she concentrates really hard can control the flames (not like can control fire, she can just move the flame to like point more to the left), unnaturally good cook.

We usually ask that our members say that the virgin goddess had some type of vision/dream of a child before the demigod is born. Also, what makes Hestia's tears different than any other time she might cry? This needs to seem like an accident. A virgin goddess with a daughter is scandalous, so even if she visits her often enough, it should probably be in secret.

Otherwise, it sounds good. I would probably edit the part where is claimed though, so that flames don't touch her when they lift her up. Being burned would be a painful way to be claimed.

Ok I an ideaFor making my oc a child of Hestia, I was thinking it could be a mortal that she really liked and was fond of. And when they died she took their body to Olympus and burned their body in the hearth, thus from the ashes rising a child of Hestia

So I did some research and I couldn't find a hearth, it's just said that she could be worshipped everywhere and the only really important hearths to her were the vestal virgin ones and that's her roman form so that didn't work. I also was looking at the attributes of children of Hestia. And it actually makes sense that her kids are fire users and that it's more common since she literally is kind of the goddess of fire.
Though my character won't is like abusing this because it is a crazy powerful thing. My characters more peaceful like Hestia and we be reluctant to even hurt a monster.

Sigh. I don't remember anything about children of Hestia being fire users. Where did you find your research? I shouldn't approve her with the possibility that she is too powerful. Not all Olympians' children are that powerful- much less a daughter of the hearth goddess. She isn't known for being a warrior.

Looks: Mena has rich, dark-red auburn hair, long and falling to just past her waist. She has golden skin, flecked with scars across the arms. Her eyes are dark, intense brown, and a little bit slanted. They’re mysterious, impossible to read and impossible to look away from.
Mena is tall - not super tall, but taller than average. She’s also unnervingly strong, despite her graceful frame, and has amazing reflexes. Her agility, flexibility and strength make her an incredible gymnast, as at ease in the air as she is in the fighting ring.
Dress Style: Mena is usually wearing black leggings with something else. She never wears anything loose or fancy because it gets in the way. She’ll wear a jacket or something, as long as she can move in it. She needs to have room to flip, kick, jab, or slash.
She’s almost always wearing her rubber-soled platform combat boots. They’re basically the only shoes she wears. Mena doesn’t really care about makeup, but she likes eyeliner - it’s like her war paint. She doesn’t wear jewelry unless it helps her fight; chain necklaces and claw rings, mainly.
Weapon: an engraved bronze signet ring shaped like a torch, named pyrsós (πυρσός) that turns into
- a torch and Celestial bronze shortsword
- a pair of torches
- a long Celestial bronze halberd
depending on how she wants it to be.

Personality: Mena has a temper. She gets angry easily. Not a surprise, since her dad is an Ares demigod and her mother is the personification of force and strength. But she tries to think and strategize before she does anything rash - to her, brainpower is another strength to be harnessed.
That doesn’t mean she always succeeds...she’s still kind of working on it.
Mena’s very fierce and independent, incredibly sassy, and one of the most stubborn people on the face of the Earth. She never lets anything drop - not for half a second. And if you piss her off...brace yourself. Either her retorts or her halberd will be coming after you. As you can probably guess, she’s incredible at coming up with things on the spot. She can act incredibly fast.
She’s surprisingly good at strategy if she actually stops to think first, and is actually very smart. It’s just that she doesn’t have the patience to sit around studying. She’s placed her priorities and she doesn’t actually care about the other stuff.
She’s not very outgoing, but she’s definitely not an introvert. Mena is just socially oblivious sometimes. She can hold a conversation just fine and can always pick up on offensive warning signs, but she doesn’t know how to act when she cares about someone or they care about her.
Therefore, Mena has a very hidden overprotective side that she doesn’t show to anyone except the people she has secretly adopted.

History: Mena’s dad was a military sharpshooter who tried his best to care for her. He was around for most of the time when she was little, but slowly just started leaving for longer and longer periods of time. She got used to it after a while, and at age five was not very surprised when she’d been home with only a family friend (a minor demigod, not that she knew) to keep watch on her.
But having two demigods, sometimes three, under the same roof, was conspicuous. Even if they were minor. When Mena was seven, her townhouse was attacked by a manticore and two harpies. Her dad’s friend/her caretaker told her to run. He would hold them off.
So she did, not understanding. She only understood that those creatures were real, and she’d been in danger.
She never found out if her caretaker survived, but she assumes he did.
The seven-year-old was found quickly by a satyr. After that night, she had the scars across her arms from harpy claws and a manticore spike along her shoulder. She got to camp after a few more monster encounters, during which she discovered her abilities.
However, she wasn’t claimed until her eighth birthday. After living in the Hermes cabin for almost a year trying to understand her powers and learning how to fight, a flaming torch appeared over her head. When it disappeared, she had the bronze ring for pyrsós on her finger.
She’s spent the rest of her time training and fighting to prove herself. To show everyone that even though she’s a minor demigod, she’s still just as strong and powerful as everyone else. Her mom is literally the goddess of power anyway.

Abilities: energy force; Mena can generate and direct pure power. It can also form a shield, and basically is just like a forceful blast.
She can also channel her anger into a burst of physical strength. So in a fight or stressful situation, she can make herself much stronger and hit a lot harder.
