ETA Sent you a PM

Sure, that works for me! BUT I will only have a microphone and no camera. I bought two different webcams when this started but to no avail and I'm not going to spend over $200 for one from Apple's store (that one will work!) I didn't really think about built in cameras when I bought a monitor, but I have a decent mic.

This means I can't raise my hand to speak, but if you can open the side chat I could always put that in the comments instead.

Okay, that's great :)! My kids only told me about thumbs up and clapping hands, so this is good to know :) I have done a few things on zoom but haven't paid the slightest bit of attention to those.

I didn't realize this was for when you have no video, but I tried to use it in my last meeting and it just brings your icon / video to the forefront. It didn't seem very useful and my group didn't seem to notice anything different... but it could be user error.

Robin P | 5823 comments I'm not an expert but below are the directions. The leader or other participants will have to go to the participant list to see the hand, it doesn't show up on the main screen. (as far as the directions below about "the bottom" of your screen - it may also be at the top depending on what device you are on.)

During a meeting, click on the icon labeled "Participants" at the bottom center of your PC or Mac screen. 2. At the bottom of the window on the right side of the screen, click the button labeled "Raise Hand." Your digital hand is now raised.

Karin | 9252 comments Well, I might just be silent then, but my kids will be heading into their final week of classes and I don't want to borrow their laptops.
