Major Hamish McHenry comes to see Sebastian with information and then becomes elusive. Why do you think he reached out to Sebastian? Were you suspicious of his motives?

Joanna | 139 comments I think he knew of Sebastian's reputation and trusted him. Since he freely stepped forward with information, I wasn't too suspicious of him.

I couldn’t understand why he came forward until later in the story when I realized it was out of guilt. Initially, though, I thought he might be trying to point the finger at someone else to protect himself, not from Nicholas’ murder but something from the past.

Joanna | 139 comments I kept waiting for him to be found dead before Sebastian had a chance to talk to him. You know how his luck runs sometimes.

So did I!!!

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 242 comments I was suspicious because he only told a partial truth. I expected his evasiveness to backfire and he would be killed or injured.
