Before he was beaten and left for dead, Dorian muses about the death of his friend Caroline Morley. Did you recognize her as Carlton’s sister at that time? If so, what did you make of it in that moment?

[Robin]

I didn't put it together at all. I remember in a previous book, Carlton was thinking about his sister's murder. I don't remember if we knew her name at that point or not.

[Charlene]

I couldn't remember that, either. Too far back for this memory.

[Anita]

I recognized her instantly and it all came together. There were hints in the previous books that Carlton wasn't as squeaky clean as he portrayed himself.

[Jonetta]

I was a little closer to where you were, Anita, but I was absolutely confused by it. I knew he was talking about Marley’s twin sister but couldn’t figure out how their paths crossed.

I didn't remember it at all either. I agree, Charlene. Too far back for my memory too.

[Anita]

It makes it easier to remember some of the more obscure details since we are reading these book one a month instead of a year or two between. I just remember feeling from the first book that Morley grew up in hard circumstances.

Yes, I remembered that Carlton was thinking about his deceased twin sister in the previous book. So I realized that he was Cutter.
