fiction- examination of a marriage from both viewpoints

I remember this book being mentioned on an old Oprah show. Half of the book is told from the man's perspective. I think you flip it over and read the other half told from the woman's perspective. I believe there is a plane going down and 1 or both of the spouse's die. It's been bugging me for years.
