Elements Challenge

Ooh. Sounds like fun!One of the books I'll be publishing next year is called Water Princess, Fire Prince ... just thought I'd mention.
But serious question now. You said we can do subgroups of the elements. How far, exactly, can we go? From your examples, it seems like a lot of weather can fit into the water group, and I'm guessing that sea, lake, river and other such bodies of water work as well. How about something like Auquaboy?
Then for air, I'm guessing that wind and breath and stuff like that is included. How about sky? Sky is mostly air.
And now fire. Fire includes spark, flame, inferno, blaze ... how about light? Sun? Stars? Fire is technically just glowing gas, and the sun and stars are made out of fire.
And now earth. Earth can go MANY ways. I'm guessing that soil, land, rock are automatically in, but a lot of people consider plantlife as part of that element, so would tree, plant, leaves count? How about the various subgroups of rock? Jewels? Metals? If I read Golden Daughter, would that count? How about, say, my short story The Sun Jewel Contest? That could go as both earth and fire ...
Sorry if I seem troublesome or something like that, but I need to know what parameters I have so I know what I'll be reading next year.
Thanks or letting us know about your up-coming book! :)
For the most part, it's up to your discretion and your honesty. Personally, I'd say that plants are not earth, but if you want to include jewels etc., that's up to you.
A different idea would be to make it more challenging, and read books with only the actual element name in it.

Personally I want to make it more challenging so I'm going to try counting only the very obvious words for an element.
Yeah, I intend to stick with the obvious variations, too (more fun if it's more challenging) I was just making sure the boundaries were stated and all that;)
Oh, yes, disaster is a must. I read through my list of books on my kindle that I haven't gotten around to reading, and found quite a few that I can use for this, plus there's several on my physical bookshelf. And, when I run out of those, there's also my local library. This'll be fun!
I'm glad you guys are getting excited for it!!
I think I'm gonna try for Elementary. I might upgrade later on, though! :)

Unfortunately, I never made it past Elementary, I only got 12 books. :( This challenge was harder than I expected...
You read more books total than I did, but a larger percent of the ones you read were elements. I only read 58.
