Challenge Dates:
Signups open until April 11, 2020 at 9 PM US EDT.
Remaining Teams Assigned after signups close on April 11, 2020.
First Task Assigned April 14, 2020 at 6 PM US EDT.
Challenge Ends on June 9, 2020 at Midnight US EDT, tasks will not be accepted after this time.
Each team will work together to complete tasks. Once complete, you will be given another task to complete. After the first task, teams will be on different paths with tasks randomly assigned. The same tasks may be assigned to different teams at different times, but no task will be used more than once by the same team. Each team works at their own pace and the team that completes the most tasks at the end of 8 weeks will be the winner!
After the first task is given to everyone, when a team finishes their task they will need to report their completion in the Tracking/Q&A thread. I will confirm the completion and assign their next task. New tasks will not be assigned more frequently than every other day. I will attempt to respond quickly to confirm completion and assign new tasks, but please allow up to 24 hours. If I am unavailable, another mod will assign the task.
Each teammate will need to participate in each task, but may take a pass for one task during the course of the challenge. For some tasks, no passes will be allowed. Completions posts will need to be made when finishing each book for a task, similar to the PtP and Bachelor Challenges. A player will be removed if they make no comment for 5 days after a new task is assigned or 3 days after the rest of the team completes the task (whichever is later), despite attempts to make contact.

There is a 150 page minimum for books, rereads and audios ok. Books may only be used once per player during the challenge. Players may read the same book for a task unless otherwise specified. Books do not have to be romance, but must be fiction.
**For this challenge, use the GR Kindle first edition page count if available. Ebook page count will be acceptable if no Kindle page count available. The acceptability of other page counts will be made on an individual basis**
I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 21, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉

I just celebrated an anniversary of 34 years with my hubby and we have 7 kids and 12 grandkids.
I love all genres of book. Not a huge fan of non-fiction but can read it if need be.
I can read about 2 to 3 books a week ( I have struggled this past week to get 1 book read. I have severe allergies and everything is blooming in Vegas right now so breathing has been an issue....It's not COVID-19 I promise. I feel great just can't breath...no fevers of coughing. Not even a stuffy nose but when I go outside later I find I can't breath. Anyway I am usually reading 2 to 3 books a week. Last week was tough due to allergies
Anyone have any name ideas?The only thing I came up with is a play on Blackjack since we are team 21. Or maybe even a casino theme?

For this first task, you will act as a team of 3, if Teresa shows up by tomorrow, the deadline, she will begin on Task 2. If she fails to show, you will continue as a team of three and certain tasks will be adjusted to reflect that.

When do we have to turn our books in? I caught a 4 day flu bug. No fever but I kept nothing down for 4 days. That has never happened. Usually it's a 24 hour bug but never 4 days. The thing that would also trigger me was reading. The second I would try to read I wave of nasuase would hit me. If I wasn't throwing up I was sleeping....uggg I'm 100% better and almost done with my book :)
How is everyone's books? Mine is a reread and I hated it in the beginning and thought how could I rate this book 4 stars but it's getting better and I can see why (sort of) I rated it so high. Also I read this over 11 years ago and back then this was the "IT" book...lol

There is no deadline for completing a task. You check in when the task is complete and I will assign the next task, It does seem like the ball has been dropped here though. The team never decided on a leader, but if one of you would PM the others and see what is going on that might be helpful. I will attempt contact as well, but likely won't be able to get to it tonight - I can try for tomorrow though.Glad you are feeling better Susan! And no, you are not doing anything wrong.

Hi all, I have been really busy finishing another book that I had to read for a book review this week and online study. So I'm only halfway through it. I think it will be best for me to drop out unfortunately.
Logan do you still want to keep playing? I asked MKat if you and I could keep on doing it. I hope that was okay. I really was excited for this challenge to start. I'm bummed our team fell apart. Anyway I'm sure she will let us know if we can be a team of two or maybe someone is on a waiting list and can join us
Yeah that would be great. My other challenge ends next week so I should be able to read faster for this too.
