Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments Sorry it took so long to post, my husband got sick and we were dealing with corona testing and getting things that we need for quarantine.. 😩

message 54: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments Hope you both doing okay, I will post of completion of task 2 in the main tread

MountainKat | 31763 comments Hope all is well!

Here is your next task:

14. Read 4 3 books with fewer than 500 reviews.

You can see the number of reviews on the main book page for your chosen book. Use that number in your qualification. Make sure you use the review number, not the ratings number.

message 56: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments That is perfect I just downloaded Before Girl and was going to start listing to it tonight, it has 383 reviews on GR so perfect for this challenge. Since we need to read 4 books for this one I will see if I can fit in another one this week but no promises:-)

message 57: by Yuliya (last edited May 04, 2020 01:55PM) (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments I am assuming we have to read 3 books since there is 3 of us left? Ok, brand new Kendall Ryan book, Wild for You, only 312 reviews for now. I am going with this one

message 58: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments I got sucked into the last series I started for the last challenge and the 2nd and 3rd book both have less than 500 ratings. So the 2nd book in the series will be my read for this challenge and if I finish the 3rd one I’ll post it too

Lea | 1631 comments Hi
My book was hard one to get through, if it had not been a challenge I would never have finished, it just did not capture me... I ask in the Q&A tread if we need to finish 3 or 4 books
If it is 3 I will post our completion post. In case of 4 I will go searching for another book with few reviews or Shandrea did you start with your last book in your series?

Hi Lea, I hear you - my book was not great either. I think we are ok at 3, I was not sure at first myself. But then noticed that MountainKat posted at the very beginning here and he crossed out 4 and put in 3. So I think we are ok and complete with this task

message 64: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments Sound great:-) I will post a completion post in the main tread as soon as get near a computer... can not figure out how to make the links on my phone:-)

message 65: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments I posted our completion post
link

Hopfully we are better at choosing books for the next task :-)

message 66: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31763 comments My apologies, I just didn't get things copied over. Yes, you are complete for Task 3. Your question came in the middle of the night for me.

Here is your next task:

69. Read over 750 600 pages in books about the same profession, teams decide which profession.

Professions such as law enforcement officer or musician are ok. Just don't try to pass off both a rancher and a chef as food industry - those aren't close enough to work. 😉 Please remember to use the first edition Kindle page count for you books!

message 67: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31763 comments I got everything copied over correctly this time! 🥳😂

message 68: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments Oooooh, what kind of profession are we thinking???
I’m game for anything, police, doctor, lawyer..

message 69: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments I pretty open for almost everything ... maybe musician, lawyer or professional athlete of some sort...

message 70: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments I am pretty open too, I love books about musicians, athletes are also my weakness....Doctors would work, I am very easy.
I usually tend not to read about lawyers since I am a lawyer myself :), but honestly, I will go with whatever you girls choose.

message 71: by Lea (last edited May 08, 2020 12:37PM) (new)

Lea | 1631 comments I understand why you stay away from you own profession... my sister is a cop and has all together stoped reading danish crime novels... as a project manager in pharmaceutical company I luckily do not have that problem;-)
My vote will go to doctor or athlete (unsure if Professional athlete is to broad and we need to pick eg. hockey player)

message 72: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments I’m good for athlete, we just have to figure out if type is speific

message 73: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments Ok, let's go for athlete then. I think we can each do separate sports as long as they are all athlete related?

message 74: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments Let’s pick a professional athlete, I will ask in Q&A just to confirm:-)

message 75: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments While looking for books with few reviews I fell over Forbidden Puck but ended choosing differently, so now I will try it for this task
Happy reading

message 76: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments I’m going to read Playing For Keeps by Kendall Ryan. It’s 390pgs 👍🏼

message 77: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments Hi again
Mkat just confirmed that athlete is fine :-)

message 78: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments Ok, I will go with Power Play by Toni Aleo it's 367 pages.

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments Shandrea wrote: "I’m still working on my book but I’m almost finished!"

Shandi, I am glad that there is a slight break, after the last book I picked up another, and OMG it is soooo good. I cannot put it down and just rushing to get it finished before the next assignment :)

message 84: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments What is it?

message 85: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments Shandrea wrote: "What is it?"
Sugar Daddy by Lisa Kleypass. It took me a while to pick it up, since I am usually not into the he is old and she is young types of books. But the title is definitely deceiving

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments I am excited, we are half way done now...

message 91: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31763 comments Here is your next task - finally:

51. Each teammate reads a book published in the same month and year, teams decide. No pass for this task.

Use the initial publication date for this task. You need to select a month and year and all read a book published that month/year.

message 92: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments I do not have a preferred month or year, as long as we choose something pretty current
To make easy to find a unread book I will suggest may 2020

message 93: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments I’m good for May 2020, maybe April 2020? We see only half way into May..

message 94: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments Are half way into May*

message 95: by Shandrea (new)

Shandrea Freeman | 891 comments I have one for May 2020, I’ll be reading Hunter by L.j. Shen 👍🏼👍🏼

message 96: by Yuliya (new)

Yuliya Andresyuk | 36 comments Ok, so are we deciding on May 2020? I actually have Hunter on my to-read list too :)

message 97: by Lea (new)

Lea | 1631 comments Then I think we should go with May 2020, I will go with Wylde it was just released this week

message 98: by Yuliya (new)
