Announcing the upcoming readalong

Announcing, announcing, a surprise new readalong that will start Sunday, April 19. This very long novel is one I have wanted to read ever since I heard about it, and feel like this time is either the very right or very wrong time to dig in.

Let me know if you already have a copy, can get a copy, are interested, how many pages you think you could do per week, etc. I'll post an official reading schedule soon.

For those of you in Hoopla, the eBook is a bonus download right now, which is incredible! The audiobook exists and is 45 hours. I'll be reading it in print.

So glad you’ve chosen this one. It’s been high on my TBR ever since a friend sent it a couple of months ago. You always have a knack of choosing books I feel daunted by but when read as part of a readalong are manageable. Thank you and can’t wait! Will be interested to see how you break it down, though...

It is too daunting for me to attempt but from what I’ve heard about the book in general, it seems like it would be great in audio!

I’m in! This is actually the last book I bought IRL at Bookshop Santa Cruz the day before they shut down for curbside pick up or mail only. 🤓

Count me in. I just bought the Audible version. I will need to finish a couple of books first. Otherwise I will get too confused with too many books at the same time. Will be ready by the 19th.

Omgoodness....I can't wait for discussion on this book. I am listening to it and the narrator is an American actress, Stephanie Ellyne, and I can't imagine the prep work that she has done. The pronunciation, the phrasing, the whimsy....it is so good. Listen to this one if you can. It is so awesome!!!

In an interesting way. I had no idea it was a stream-of-thought book. It has grown on me. The narrator has an American accent and is very good. This one is a challenge to narrate, for sure!

Oh good to know! I may listen to the preview but there’s no way for me to get through that much of an audiobook while trapped at home, I wish.
