I was never able to get a copy of six of crows through interlibrary loan, but I will try again this weekend. I’m also having trouble getting updated on goodreads APL comment threads in a timely way, I will tinker with it today. I would really enjoy a virtual book club.

We will be discussing last month's book as well. So you should definitely come to the virtual chat! We can discuss options for next month's title. We may need to change it so everyone can get a copy. Once we have a link for the event, we'll post it here and on other social media platforms. If there's a better/easier way to reach everyone (a Facebook group maybe?), feel free to weigh in in the comments. In the meantime, I'll look into starting a Facebook and/or Instagram account for the club.
If you weren't able to get a copy of the book and still want to participate, we'll discuss last month's book and also what you've been reading to pass the time whilst in quarantine =D
Great! I found the Six of Crows audiobook on YouTube and have been binging so hopefully I’ll be close to ready :)

I just finished re-reading Six of Crows and my goodness, I forgot how long it was!! I still think it’s great, but still wanted to apologize for suggesting something this immense

I too am having trouble getting through the book! I think it's the audio? I'm not sure... I've loved all of the other books I've read by Leigh Bardugo, so I don't know what's up. Pandemic blues? Quarantine funk?
The Book House has curbside pickup, so I'm going to grab a print copy tomorrow and see if that changes things.
ALSO, Kate and I have a possible new selection for next month and we want to know what you think... A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Kate just finished it, and I read it literally the day it came out in the US, and just ordered the sequel from a bookstore in the UK because I loved the first one so much. It's a NYT bestseller, and a fairly new release, but there are a number of copies on Overdrive. Take a gander at it before Monday if you get a chance!

Yes, unfortunately not having access to print copies has thrown a wrench in things, and we are trying to find titles that have numerous copies available on Overdrive so that everyone can access it.
Gotcha. I have downloaded the audiobook of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder from Overdrive....

Can an unlimited number of copies circulate if it is a title in Hoopla? That's what I thought I read.
Looking forward to tonight's virtual book-club meeting. I had hoped to finish Six of Crows in time for our meeting, but since I am only around 5% in, that won't be possible. I'll be primarily discussing Downstairs Girl.

I've finished our May and June selections, so I decided to go back and give
Six of Crows
another try. There is a passage that I reread several times because I thought I might be losing my mind.The passage makes it seem as though Kaz has just broken Geels's wrists. But then he THREATENS to break his wrists.... And it is Bollinger who is slumped on the ground in pain. Because--Kaz broke HIS wrists?
Does anyone recall this scene? Am I the only one who had this issue?

How's everyone doing? Hanging in there I hope! Anne here, "returned" from maternity leave (returned in quotes, because I am in the same place I was in DURING my leave, making me wonder about the Space-time Continuum and also The Matrix, and wondering if anything is actually real.)
ANYWAY, it's somehow already April? And we're living in a YA dystopia! My dream has finally come true! Welcome to the Arena my friends, and "May the odds be ever in your favor!" Kidding.
We're all doing the best we can right now, and we're still here for you! And, in light of our current collective state of house arrest, we thought we'd try meeting VIRTUALLY this month, using Google Meet! Please comment below and let us know what you think! We will all have kids (me) or dogs (Kate) in the background, so please don't let the possibility of background chaos deter you.
Kate and I are definitely feeling the "Cabin Fever" that all the kids are talking about, and are super excited to discuss "Six of Crows" and "The Downstairs Girl" with you all. We'll post again with more details, but for now... how is everyone liking this month's book???
