Is there an 'official' position on adding a link from a Goodreads author page to their Amazon author page? It feels a bit too sales oriented for my liking.

dont 'think there is a policy - could be that the author doesn't have a website, so this is the closest alternative

If an author with a claimed profile wishes to add such a link, no problem. Librarians should only be adding links to an author's official website. Nowhere else.
