You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 book on it.

message 505: by Geri (new)

message 522: by Linda (new)

Linda | 234 comments I really liked Girls on the Line!! I couldn't stop reading that either. I loved the little bit after the book about the real history behind it. I am realizing that I am such a sucker for Books/tv shows about working women in the 10s-60s. Do you guys know the Call the Midwife? I LOVE that show.

message 523: by Geri (new)

Geri | 639 comments Wow, you guys are fast! The weather is great here, and it’s a holiday weekend in the U.S. so I am a little distracted. I should have my book done tonight.

Laura, the book is definitely inspired by the Slenderman case. I saw the documentary about it on HBO.

Linda, I have seen Call the Midwife. I am behind on it. I just marathoned my way through Belgravia. I recommend it to you if you haven’t seen it. It is by the creator of Downton Abbey. I loved it!

message 530: by Geri (last edited May 25, 2020 12:12PM) (new)

Geri | 639 comments 10 of the most popular romance tropes

The ‘Trapped in an Elevator’
The ‘Love Triangle’
The ‘Fake Relationship’
The ‘Enemies Become Lovers’
The ‘Belated Love Epiphany’
The ‘Friends to Lovers’
The ‘I’m Actually a Secret Royal/Billionaire’
The ‘Destined To Be Together’
The 'Second Chance at Love'
The ‘Forbidden Love’

I vote for enemies to lovers. I usually enjoy them.
