Technology is great and we have taken advantage of video chats but an in person visit with hugs is going to be absolutely awesome- I suspect there will be a few happy tears."that sounds sooo great, Laura!! Enjoy the time!!!
I think I will finally get to read Girls on the Line by Aimie K. Runyan !! :D Laura, you want to join in? I have Dig. by A.S. King lying around too. So I could read a second one, but I don't know how quick I will be yet!!

Hmmm I knew there was something people really disliked about his books! I did not know it was THAT. LOL
Well, one day I will give him a try and see......

Oh, sorry Linda, I missed that the book would have worked for the task. I saw the task and thought awesome, I 'll be able to read a K. A. Tucker book again so I picked Be the Girl to read. If I'm speedy enough to read a second book then definitely, I will read it.
Absolutely, it's okay! I wish I had saw it fit before I started my Tucker book. Awesome, I 'm glad you are enjoying it. Alissa, what did you think of Cowboy Heat?
Geri, I see you are reading This Is How I Lied. I recently read and it was probably my favorite audio book! Ha, yup, I said audio book. I'm a big fan of Gudenkauf.
Alissa wrote: "I’m still trying to figure out what to read for this task."I have quite a few books to choose from. I didn’t realize how many authors use initials. Because I have so many to consider, I keep changing my mind. I guess I’ll know for sure which I’ll be reading tomorrow!
Alissa wrote: "I really liked it! I’m probably going to keep reading the series."I think I read book 2 already- that excerpt seemed really familiar to me. Glad you enjoyed it. If the steamy sex scenes didn't have such awful/corny dialogue I would have liked it a lot more:-)

Laura wrote: "Geri- I recommend my book I read....another great book by Tucker but YA this time instead of NA."Thanks, I’ll bookmark it! And LOL about Cowboy Heat. Dirty talk is an art. I have giggled at some erotica. I looked it up on audible and they have a “sweeter version” of the book. The ebook must have been down and dirty!
It was just what I needed. Something light and fun and no need for thinking. That is why this one is so hard to pick but I decided on a random book I found at the library For All Our Sins by T.M.E. Walsh
Geri, yes as you say dirty talk is an art... that I don't mind it was the dirty talk with weird references to football and the zillion pet names - I could have done without those! Alissa, light and airy is definitely a perfect fit!
audible publishes "sweeter versions" of (dirty) books? .....awwwww... Hahahah I am taking my time with my book - I hope thats okay. I really really enjoy it and try not to rush through it. Finally a good one!
I don't have a lot of time on the computer these days but I will update the tracking post tomorrow and get back on top of things!
Hope everyone is enjoying their books!!! And thank you Geri and Laura for reading 2 even though you guys are short on time/behind with other books this week too!!
Awesome, so glad to hear you are enjoying your book, Linda. I can't wait to get further in ( I'm only page 1) Don't feel you have to rush... we all still have a book to finish. If we finish before you we will read something else. Definitely not a problem. I really liked my first one. Tucker has a way of writing that draws you in and makes you like her characters that you become invested in the story.

I put the Tucker book on my TBR too! It sounds really good. I ended up flying through the last half of the book anyway, as I could not put it down. I have to get up in 5 hours but I don't regret a thing! Whoops! :D
No worries Alissa, I'll make good progress before I go to bed tonight but I won't finish until tomorrow afternoon either. We spent all afternoon and some of this evening putting up Dad 's new gazebo. He was never great at following instructions ( and these weren't good) so post concussion he did pretty good, it just took us a long time and several attempts to finally get the structure up!!! Lol.. it didn't help that he kept dropping washers and bolts.
dont stress!! we have nothing stressing us, thats what I like about the challenge as opposed to the ones with deadline days. aww your dad! sounds exhausting though!! putting up a gazebo, i mean. its great you can spend time with your parents.

It was pretty good. I may try the second one in a few months.I didn’t realize it was going to be so long. Note to self check the listen time before deciding what to read.
Alissa wrote: "Note to self check the listen time before deciding what to read."Ain't that the truth!! Although some of my favorite books are longer, as long as the narrator is good they are still a joy!
Here is your next task:11. Read 4 books first published within the last year.
For this task, the books you choose need to have an initial publication date on or after 5.21.2019.
I'm going to start the latest In Death book by J.D. Robb when my head feels better. Sadly, its ebook format instead of hardcover- I couldn't fit it in when I had a copy of the hardcover before my library closed.

No worries!! I did not write down the choices yet anyway. But thanks for telling me, i will get to it in a couple of hours and then I can put the correct one in. I hope you feel better, Laura !!
Thanks Alissa and LindaI feel better, headache and sensitivity to noise are gone but now I just feel wiped. Hoping to gain some energy later
I'm hoping to finish my book tonight
