That was cute. A little cheesy in parts, but I liked it.

Sarah wrote: "OMG, this is my new favorite Tessa Dare! Thanks so much for the recommendation Courtney, it was a 5 star read for me :)"Yay! So glad you liked it! I really think it's just one of the sweetest books ever.
Here is your next task:34. Read 4 books 300 pages or longer.
Remember to use the first edition Kindle page count!
Hey! Sorry about that. I fixed it. I'm burning the candle at both ends at the moment. Good news, my big project finally ended today around 8pm EST. I know we have a new task, but I plan to sleep most of tomorrow. I'll try to have it completed by Wednesday.
No worries, Chan! A 300 page book will take me a bit anyway! Most of my good reading time is on the weekends.
Thanks, Courtney. I finally got some sleep and feel normal again or whatever my normal looks like hehe! I was very proud of what I accomplished and the end result. There was one small hiccup, but other than that, I was beaming with sleep deprived pride.
I started a book last night and should have it done today.

I'm so glad everything went well, Chan, and that you've been able to recover from the push! I hope things settle down for you for at least a little while.

Hi Sarah! Will you please change your link to the UK Kindle version [*book:Family For Beginners|52208320] ? It has an earlier release date than the US version. Thanks!
I'm sure you already know this, but just in case...you can just use the link I gave and remove the *.
Trying to keep this more easy going, so I'm not going to wait for Sarah's correction - her book obviously qualifies. 😊Here is your next task:
75. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope.
Select the trope and include it in your completion post. Remember to let me know how you know your book qualifies. Precis? List? Tag? I need to know where to look to qualify your books! 😊
Here are the tropes we discussed when the game first started:Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, fake relationship, Second chance, forbidden love, love triangle, millionaire/billionaire, Secret baby, Fated mates, Amnesia
The only things I can think of to add are Small Town and Arranged Marriage.I'm fine with anything we've come up with, but my least favorites are probably Forbidden love and Love triangle.
I have Repeat I could do for Amnesia. What would 'small town' be? I have this one Southern Chance. Could be small town I guess? Also, second chance romance?I have lots of secret baby books, too 🤣. Or single dad falls in love with the nanny!
Arranged marriage would be easy, too.

That definitely qualifies for both Small town and Second chance...multiple tags for both. That one sounds pretty good...I need to see if I can find it at the library!
So, I guess small town and second chance are my top two picks. Arranged marriage and Amnesia for 3rd and 4th.
Ok, if we do small town, I have two I could do. Just found Seducing the Bachelor. Tagged small town romance and only 179 pages.
I'm ok with anything everyone else wants (although I do really like both small-town and second chance). I don't have any challenge books left for this month, so I'll just search Audible Escapes and come up with something for whatever we decide on.
I found a book in Audible Escapes that fits both small town and second chance...Say You'll Stay, so I'm perfectly happy with either option. I can also easily find another book in either category.
Chan wrote: "Karen, i just realized that I posted the wrong book for the last task. Should i fix it?"It probably doesn't matter at this point, but since you realized it why don't you go ahead and just edit your existing post with the correct info.
Chan wrote: "YAY! Second chances it is :o)There's a book that's been on my tbr for a while that I wanna read."
I have a real soft spot for second chance stories too, so this doesn't hurt my feelings at all!

It's updated.
Sorry ladies.. crazy day yesterday. Second chances works for me!
Completion Post - Task 1575. Read 6 books that have the same romance trope, teams decide which trope. - Team chose "second-chance romance"

I raced through that first one because it was so good, but this next one I started, A Lie for a Lie, is so painful to read! I really don't know how it's gotten so many high ratings. The heroine talks and acts like she's 13. It's nauseating. Honest to god, she bounces when she gets excited about something (which is all the time because she's seriously a child and knows nothing about the world), and she gets so scared on flights and rainstorms and pretty much everything slightly distressing that she needs to bury herself constantly in the hero's lap, arms, whatever. I seriously hate heroines like this. Why are authors still doing this childish=endearing crap.
You're doing better than me, Courtney! I will hopefully finish my book this morning (or early afternoon if I get sidetracked). I also have a second book lined up, one that I was planning on reading anyway actually has a "second-chance" tag. Depending on how many distractions I have, I should be able to finish both by sometime tomorrow.
It's been crazy raining here, so it's been movie time for the kids and reading time for me 😄. Hopefully I will finish my second tonight or tomorrow morning 👍

Sarah, I hate to say this, but your book doesn't qualify! This challenge has a 150 page minimum... 😥
Hey Sarah, if you want to just take a pass for this task, the book I'm currently reading will qualify. It's totally up to you, we can definitely wait if you want to read another book, but since we're getting close to the end of the challenge chances are good you won't need the pass after this. No pressure though, just do whatever works best for you!
