Jen, in case this helps with any concerns, reviews are linked to the specific editions, and the editions themselves can also have separate descriptions to differentiate them.

If the numbering will be the same, it's fairly easy. Old editions keep the old series name in their title lines; new editions get the new series name in their title lines. And the series page gets edited to show the new series name, with the old one indicated in the series' description.

Then there will need to be two separate series. But on each work, the newer series can be set as the first series.
Okay, I've been through a lot of these discussion but I need help. My goodreads is a mess (which is my fault for putting it off). I left my publishers and republished my most of my books. Is there a Librarian I can message with directly in a chat to fix all my books? New Links, New covers, updated blurbs? New ASIN numbers etc...

Yes, and this is true whether you change the title/cover or not. Revised editions of a work are combined with their originals on Goodreads.
