Erin Thornton | 2 comments I saw an ad on FB a while ago (last year-2019) and then like an idiot didn't save the ad for later. It was a book about a female coder who receives a message/email on her way home in a cab about joining a game. She ignores it and then it comes again and each email/message gets closer and more creepy. Then she gets pulled into the game.

I know this isn't much to go on but I'm hoping it will spark a memory or two and I can go look at the books and see if any are the same ones.

I will go through the link. These books don't seem to hit the mark. Thank you for trying. The ads I usually get are for romance books and so I wonder if this one falls into that category to some extent at least a sub genre. I don't know what the game was because I didn't get a chance to read the book. I can't remember if the description I recall is the actual description or the ad text. A part of me remembers a competitor (guy) who worked for another company. The story also is about adults not teens because she was coming home from work as a coder.

I wish I knew then what I know now. Apparently, FB has added a feature that you can see the past 3mo of ads you've clicked on or interacted with. Now it is gone to the ad grave. I don't even know who posted the ad.

Erin, what's the genre or tone - e.g., psychological thriller, mystery, science fiction, etc.?
