Why is a half-wit named KINO allowed to give poor rating to an unpublished book?

I suppose the question I'm really asking is why a troll like KINO is even allowed to be a member of goodreads if he is permitted to give Jeff Lindsay's upcoming book, Dexter Is Dead, a one-star rating when the publication date is not even until 2015. Shouldn't goodreads have some rules and regs that forbid reviewing unpublished books?



I can't see the review you mention so i assume it was removed. However, as for reviewing unpublished books, lots of people including myself do this. There are websites that will send copies of books in advance in exchange for an honest review. Almost every book i look at has at least one review from someone who received an advanced copy. There should definitely be something in place (assuming there isn't already) that stops reviews being posted that are clearly fake or only there to bring the overall rating down but i very much doubt Goodreads will ban all advance reviews, i think it would have a detrimental effect on their membership and they won't want that.
