I'll admit, I'm only on page 60, but this book is a TOTAL PAIN to read. Does anyone else agree? Is it really worth finishing?

It's kinda hard to read and weird but I powered through and I finished the book. I liked it but I wouldn't obsess over it, it's OK, not great. I think it's worth finishing.
I wouldn't bother to read it. It was pretty plain. when I read it, I was thinking that it was going to be an emotional roller-coaster and heartbreaking. Instead it was flat. The author putted to much topics into the book like divorce, family death, suicide, abuse, sexuality, religion and so on to try and make people reading the book feel bad for her main character. And I honestly stop caring. Not like books can't have a lot of dark topics in it. But it helps to put some happy moments in the characters journey as well. I don't like it when the book is blatantly trying to get me feel sorry for a character out of cheep emotions. If you want to read a book with a lot of topics in it but feels like this can happen to the main character. I would recommend Ender's Game. It's dark but a good read. The Book Thief is a good one to. I found the writing in Love Letters to the Dead to be very choppy as well. I don't mean to turn you away from this book. If you wish to finish it and form your own opinions on it than please do so. I also don't mean to piss of anyone who might read this comment and have read and enjoyed Love Letters to the Dead. I'm just saying that this book disappointed me. :(
I struggled to finish it. It bored me SO MUCH. But I had to finish it. I would not recommend it much.
Yeah, I was really bored by the first part, but I felt the second half was a LOT better. Still ended up only giving the book 2 stars though, so even with it being better, it wasn't brilliant. :)
Fully agree. Pushed myself through it....really not what I was expecting and extremely disappointing
I finished it, but honestly, I think I skimmed through some parts. The idea of the book was really cool and I actually liked the end. It's one that's just okay.
I found it pretty awful but did finish it. My main issue was that I found the main character really irritating and difficult to empathise with, but I found that she got less unbearable towards the end. Definitely not a book I would recommend though!
I had that same problem with the main character, Tasha. She for some reason really annoyed me. Ah well, I've seen worse main characters. ;)
i liked the whole 'writing letters to dead famous people' but i honestly wouldnt make my letters as boring as hers. other wise i found it entertaining in a 'picking it up when i dont have anything to do' way!
I thought it was sooo boring but, after I forced my self to finish the book, I thought it was pretty good at the end. It would be much better if it was good all through it but.. I liked it okay.
You know how teachers use to say the beginning and end of your paper should be the most powerful because that's basically all the reader will remember? Well that's how it was for me, for the ending at least. It was very slow up until we learn about her sister and what was the cause of it. You just have to go through a lot to get there.
