Jenna left with her brother.

Cody shrugged, looking back at Park.

[Merlin]

Park stayed quiet the whole time, frozen like a deer in headlights. With this many people, he could be hidden, within and without. But Cody looking at him made him feel exposed, watched. Not that that was a bad thing-they seemed to have an understanding by now, not quite trust, but something.

As they left, he spoke

"They left."

It was a bit obvious, but it felt safe. With an understanding like this, things would be okay.

He nodded, giving a small smile. "That's right. It's okay."

[Merlin]

((you're good dude))

"I know. I can't help feeling like it's not okay though. All of this hell just coming out of everywhere and people with powers and not knowing who's going to take advantage of you and when. Did you know them?"

He quickly finished, trying to snap out of the tell-all-thoughts-aloud-thing. How did he loose control of everything like that? What the hell? Was this guy manipulating him?

He pulled at his sweater sleeves, concerned but trying to not think it over too much. It would be okay, it'd be fine, he didn't tell that much.

[Ember Skye]

Cody nodded once. "Yeah, I completely get that. It's hard to be comfortable around people." He shook his head, "And no, I didn't really know them. I had seen the girl around town a few times though."

[Merlin]

"Mmm." He responded, holding back from talking more, and letting the silence grow long before speaking again.

"I'm gonna try to sleep again. Make sure no more...make sure everything's safe, alright?"

[Ember Skye]

He hesitated, then said, "I actually should get going. I need to go home."

[Merlin]

"Home?"

His voice was quiet, and he crumpled a bit. For a moment, he thought he'd have a safe place to sleep-and as much as he didn't want to believe it, he hadn't slept more than an hour at a time for months.
