Waiting for books to arrive during this time is so exciting! It's like Christmas! Personally, I've never read any Stephen King (although I probably should! he's on my list!) But I've known a few people who have taken on the seemingly impossible task of reading IT! Will this be your first time reading it?

Good luck with IT! I hope you keep us updated on how you enjoy it and whether or not it challenges you! I'd love to hear your thoughts once you've started reading. :)
Personally, I want to try and work through my TBR which currently is all the books I own physically and have never read. This year and last I've had random buying sprees of books that are now sitting on my shelf unread (or coming in the mail). So, I'd like to finish all of those before I really go crazy with buying more books or branching out to different genres. At the same time though, I'm trying to read what I actually want to read instead of forcing myself to read anything, cause that's no fun!

Working through your TBR pile is definitely goal to have, especially if you have lots of unread books, because now would definitely be the time to read them!

Yes!! The only problem with my TBR (the books I own already at least) is that it is all over the place! There's mystery, autobiographies, poetry, fiction, and I don't know if I'm exactly in the mood to read anything other than fantasy right now. :( But I hate to watch the books keep collecting dust on the shelf! I want to read them all, I just don't have the motivation to.

Once I finish Beautiful Creatures, I am hoping to have gotten Wayward Son by Rainbow Rowell in the mail. That is one of my most anticipated reads and I am hoping to get through it fairly quickly! I'm also getting The Yellow Birds by Kevin Powers in soon which I am so excited about! I seem to have an odd obsession with war stories and the movie is one of my favorites so I cannot wait to read the book! But, after those two, I'm definitely going to focus on the books I already have in my collection.
Which book that you're getting delivered are you most excited for? IT?

Oh nice! I've only read one book by Rainbow Rowell which was Eleanor and Park, and I enjoyed It very much. I hope you enjoy those books when they arrive!
Yes, I would have to say IT for sure. They actually arrived today so I'm excited to get reading. Hopefully yours come soon as well! How about you, which book are you most excited about?

Hi! Nice to meet you :)
No, I have never read Eleanor Elephant is Completely Fine, but it has actually been on my want to read shelf for a while now. How are you enjoying it so far?

I'm about to finish it. I really like it, I tried to read it 2 years ago or something but I didn't like, but now because this world wide situation, libraries and bookstores here (Mexico) have closed I though it was a good chance to read some of my books that I haven't read and this one was on the list. It's very good, I have learned a lot and I like this type of books were you can see how the characters grow up about their personality and personal life.

Thats really cool! I have books lying around like that too, ones that I purchased years back and didn't quite like that I'll be sure to pick up and give another chance throughout quarantine. Are there any books you are looking forward to purchasing after quarantine?

Nice! I hope you enjoyed them both. Which would you say would be your favourite out of the two?

Hello, Sam! Nice to meet you! :) I've never read that book! But, how are you liking YA so far?

I haven't read Eleanor & Park in years! I'm excited to re-read it hopefully soon! But I'm so glad to hear that your books arrived! One of mine arrived today too, Wayward Son, actually. That was the one I was most excited for so I'm excited to start reading as soon as I finish my current read.

Thats awesome your book came as well! Its so much fun receiving books you looked forward to reading :)
How is your current book so far?

Mmmm, I don't think I have like a specific title, normally when I buy a book I just walk through the bookstore and the book found me, but I want to start reading horror, so when things get better I'm gonna buy Stephen King, Lovecraft or Poe. Could you guys give some recommendations ? cause I don't have any experience in these genre

Its going amazing ! I used to read a lot of ya but for like 2 or 3 years I haven't read it again so its nice to read ya again :)
Do you like classics ? what's your favorite genre ?

That's good to hear! I have read classics in the past, mostly for school, but most of the time they are somewhat difficult for me to read. I enjoy newer books a lot more. I'd say my favorite genre is probably YA fantasy. If you haven't already read it, I really enjoyed Carry On by Rainbow Rowell. It's probably my favorite book. I know a lot of people discredit it as a "Harry Potter knock-off", but it deserves a lot more credit for what it is. Plus there's LGBTQ+ representation which we definitely don't get any of in Harry Potter. That book along with Eleanor & Park was really my introduction to YA. Other than that, I don't think I'm fit to recommend much more, given I haven't read a lot more than that yet. :)

Yes!! I'm very excited my book came! My current read is going pretty well, although it is quite a long book. It is Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. I'm about 1/3 of the way in and I'm enjoying it! I will admit, it is a little slow, but maybe that's just because I'm used to the movie adaptation where the two main characters get together in the first twenty minutes. I'm not used to the story being so incredibly dragged out and full of detail, but I'm not mad at it.
Have you started any of your new reads yet?

In my opinion, Stephen King is one of the best horror authors you can read. I have only read a few of his books, but I have enjoyed them all. My favourite book of his at the moment would have to be The Institute. Its actually quite new compared to his other books. If you decide to check his books out, I sure hope you enjoy them :)

I'm glad you're liking your current read! I've heard of Beautiful Creatures before, and seen some reviews. Maybe I'll check it out some time.
I have just started Educated by Tara Westover. I decided to read this book before I pick up IT, because Educated isn't too long and I'll have it done soon.

That's good to hear that your read has been intriguing! I've never heard of that book but the author sounds familiar, I'll have to check it out!

I'm glad I'm enjoying it too, considering I bought all four books in the series without having read the first one yet. Lol. I'm just getting impatient that it's such a long read, given that I want to move on to my TBR. I'm trying my best to enjoy the moment, though!
As for your read, good decision to pick up a short book before a long one. Wishing I had done the same right about now. I've never heard of that book/author before, though. I'll have to check it out! How are you enjoying it?

If any of you have any recommendations, please send them my way! Or if any of you want to connect, let me know!! I would love to get some reading buddies (:

Hi Lucy! Welcome to the club! Nice to meet you :)
Personally, I've read none of those books, but eventually I would love to read The Chronicles of Narnia!
I'm not one to recommend much, given that I'm quite new to reading, but as I go along I may come up with some recommendations. Do you have a favorite genre?
I consider all club members my friends, so if you ever want to chat, just message me! I'd love to hear from you! I'm in need of a reading buddy!

Hello, Gwendolyn!
I have not read that series but I just looked it up and it sounds quite interesting! I'll have to put it on my TBR! But, wow! You sure are a fast reader! Glad to hear you're enjoying the series. :)

Hey Lucy! Sounds like some pretty interesting books :)

Hi Gwendolyn :)
I personally haven't even heard of the Stalking Jack the Ripper series, but I'll be sure to check it out!

I have read Fangirl and Eleanor & Park, I absolutely loved them! I'll check Carry on ;)

picking a genre is SO hard for me haha! But I would probably say Children's Literature- I am an Elementary School Teacher so I love reading books like Harry Potter, Wonder, Fish in a Tree, those kinds of chapter books because while they may seem to be for children, they have SO much depth to them ! and I love hearing what my students draw from them as well (:

Hello! Welcome to the group!
I've never heard of those books (besides Eleanor & Park), I'll have to check them out!
Let us know what you think of your new read once you really get into it!

Yay! Please let us know what you think once you get to reading it! I agree with many that it is Rainbow Rowell's best work.

Awe, that's amazing! What would you say is your favorite children's literature book?
I read Everything Everything, The Hunger Games, Catching fire, Battle of the Labyrinth, Just Jamie, and She Wore Red Trainers. Right now I am reading Mark of Athena, Tuesdays with Morrie, The Last Olympian, Mockingjay, One of Us is Lying, and the hate u give.

Wow! All that while being in quarantine? Good job!
Do you find it hard reading so many books at once? I used to be able to do that, but I'm not sure I can anymore.
Let us know how you're enjoying them!
It's not hard just sometimes when I realize I haven't read that book in days it gets a bit overwhelming but I can handle it. It makes it more fun, if I need a break after a tragedy or some major drama I just go to one of my other books.

Ah, that makes sense.

Hope everyone is doing ok x
