Picked up The Priory of the Orange Tree because if now is not the time to read this massive book then I don't know when is...
Have just finished The Harbors of the Sun which completes the Tales of the Raksura. I really enjoyed this series adn it's lovely to find a completed series that I haven't heard of before. Am now reading Battle Mage which is also really good. Mages, dragons and a stand alone novel all in one. What's not to like?
Finished Anno Dracula. It was just ok. Too characters that didn't have anything to do with the story. I won't read the next one. I'm now reading The Dwarves. It's really good so far.

Loved it!
Loved it!
I'd nearly finished the poll when huge creepy crawly attacked! People you are lucky that I'm Welsh and tenacious! It's up, go vote.
The Unbearable Heaviness of Remembering by L. Jagi LamplighterOpens with a lock-down. Which obviously, given the length of time it takes to write a book, is a coincidence.

I am really loving this book. It's not often you read a male-female buddy read. But, I'm only half way through and I think I see where it's going.

And after finishing The Lord of the Rings (every poem, every song, every Bombadil, every appendix; and it remains my favorite book of all time, full stop), I'm starting Clark Ashton Smith's Poseidonis.
Libraries are all shut and have more spare time to read so I'm doing a lot of re-reading at the moment. Currently re-reading The Crystal Singer. I can't believe how old this book is. I can remember it being published. Still a good read though.
Finished Poseidonis and decided to move to some 70s not-quite-sword-and-sorcery -- Tanith Lee's Shadowfire (second in her Birthgrave trilogy; I reread the first one a few years back). For the record, I do kind of prefer the original title (and cover): Vazkor, Son of Vazkor.
I have finished Sword-Dancer, Tricked and A Murder of Manatees. I really enjoyed all three. I'm now reading Age of Death.
After being stuck on Queen of Fire since January, I finally finished and am now reading The Wise Man's Fear. I thought it would take me ages to get through judging by the size of it but I'm really enjoying it so far.
Finished Gardens of the Moon today. It was fantastic book and among my favorite shelf now. Amazing story and world building. I will pick the second book in the series now.

Great book. I just wish the series would finish,
Great book. I just wish the series would finish,
Finished Hunting the White Witch and, for reasons, started Alan Dean Foster's novelization of the movie Krull.
I just finished Wool. It was slow to start at first, and then I got really into it. It was really good. I'm starting The Girl and the Stars now.
Finished Krull (it was short) and am starting Louise Cooper's The Initiate for the first time in probably 25 years.Since I'm now having to do all of my reading at home, I might as well break out some of my old paperbacks.
It's round-up time once again! How many books did you read? Any favorites?

I finished a book by one of my favourite, all time authors, Micheal J. Sullivan. Age of Death. It was great as usually but it was a little unusual and it went off in a completely different direction than I was used to by him. Still a great read.
🎧 = audi...★★★★★ I rarely give 5 stars because too many books get inflated ratings. But I am completely absorbed with Zone Wars by John Conroe. Some fascinating "end of the world as we know it" themes that suit this time in history, as millions of us are infected with COVID-19, millions are sheltering in place, hundreds of thousands have died, and U.S. government leadership is divided and led at the national level by someone unfit to lead. I am almost done with book 3 and will definitely read more of his books,
