I have started this one :D
I haven't. I've got a couple of books to finish and another to read before I start. I'll probably start on the 14th.
I have my BR of
first and then I'll get to it. Probably the 15th.

I like it and I'll definately continue with the audiobooks. The narrator has also narrated her other series, the Virgin River series.
OMG. Chapter 13 & 14 & 15 made this book for me.In Chapter 14, the exchange between Mac and Gina after her "cold" was one of the funniest exchanges I have ever listened to. I was on the train LOL and I couldn't stop.
The book has finally picked. I am definitely in for book 2

Does anyone know how tied this is to the author's Virgin River series? Can it be read independently of that series, or is it tied in enough to be annoying to an OCD series reader?

I do know that the main character, Cooper, just briefly thought of a friend of his in Virgin River, but that is all. However, it didn't interconnect with the story thus far.

LE is right. Beyond what you mentioned there no other connection with the Virgin River series, at least in this book! And LG thanks for the awesome pictures!

Basically it was a teaser for Virgin River readers for the new series and nothing more .

Lisa Kay’s Discussion Questions for Chapters 1 – 7
1. Ah! Took me awhile, but I’m betting it was Sarah who was flying the helicopter Cooper watched at the beginning. Right? I like lady pilots. Does it bother you that she hasn’t been in the story so far?
2. BOOK QUOTE: “Like maybe a crime-scene cleanup crew?” LOL! How are you liking Cooper? I don’t know why, but I didn’t see Ben leaving Cooper all his worldly goods.
3. I’m liking Mac. Or rather, Deputy Yummy Pants. LOL! BOOK QUOTE: “If anyone stops me or asks questions, you’ll have to act arrested.” I think these two, Cooper and Mac, are going to be friends. What do you think of Mac’s back-story?
4. Do you think Ben was murdered? Or could it have been an accident? What of Weird Rawley? Do you think he knows more than he’s say? Maybe Rawley witnessed it? Will Cooper continue to look out for Rawley?

Answers to Lisa Kay’s Discussion Questions for Chapters 1 – 7 1. Ah! Took me awhile, but I’m betting it was Sarah who was flying the helicopter Cooper watched at the beginning. Right? I like lady pilots. Does it bother you that she hasn’t been in the story so far? It bothered me at first because I was expecting a contemporary romance, this is more of a mainstream fiction with a strong romantic element. Once I got past my expectations I started to enjoy it. I especially like Cooper and Landon's relationship. I just hope we don't get some insta-love here.
