Albert | 2404 comments I imagine that this issue has been discussed in the past and resolved, but I wasn't able to find anything. Some users have recently been suggesting in requests that I have seen that a new edition be created when the page count changes for a Kindle even though there is no change in the ASIN or the cover image. Their perspective is that some users will have the book with the original or previous page count on their devices and would want their reading experience to reflect what they actually read, similar to the reasons for how we handle covers. Historically I have handled this type of change by changing the page count on the existing edition. I want to understand if this approach is correct and consistent with what other librarians are doing. I am also interested in any discussion on this issue in the past, what the arguments pro and con were and what the conclusion was. Thanks.
