Ludmila | 4 comments The daughter of a senator (not sure) is a doctor. She is about to leave for Africa to participate in some kind of volunteer program. Her father asks for a bodyguard to protect her. The hero is a CIA agent or mercenary, accepts to be her bodyguard. His friends run a private security company. They put a tracker in her necklace, just in case. By the way, her brother is also in the military, he is overseas while his sister is in Africa. The hero accompanies the heroine to Paris and then leaves on a mission (Afghanistan?). They exchange messages while apart. The heroine is kidnapped during her transfer in the Paris airport (on her way back home) by some guy who seeks revenge against the hero. She is saved with the help of the mentioned security company. The year of edition is 2018-2019, i guess. I’ve read this book last year.

Similar plot, but that’s not that book. The heroine was abducted at the airport in Paris on her way back home, so no one had actually gone to Africa to rescue her. There is a man (maybe mafia) who seeks revenge against the main hero. She was rescued in Paris due to the tracker in her necklace.
Her brother is also military.
In the end, MCs adopted the African kid the heroine was attached to while volunteering.

Ludmila | 4 comments It’s Veils by Brynne Asher. Thanks, anyway!
