      It would be easier to believe that Gavin accepted the child as his, especially since it was a female. The primogeniture was not put in question. Otherwise, I think it would have been a stretch to believe.
    
      It was a bit of a fairy tale. I thought that Gavin turned pretty quickly there at the end. He had a lot to forgive Sam for. But, True Love Conquers All. Right?
    
      Charlene, I agree. It would be much easier for Gavin to accept a girl since the estate would pass down to the oldest son. He'd want to make sure the oldest son was actually his blood.
    
        
      I think it was a bit of both. He would have eventually forgiven her but not quite so quickly.
