YA or juvenile book set in the future about a boy who goes back in time to the holocaust....read it between 2000-and 2005

The book is kind of like the Devils Arithmetic but set way in the future and the boy is hooked up to a machine to send him to the mind of someone in a concentration camp. That’s all I remember about it and I’ve searched multiple places and can’t find it. If you could help I would be grateful!

This somewhat sounds like The Cure but it's a much earlier period in time (1348) when anti-Semitism reared its head due to people blaming the Black Death on the Jewish people in the area.

It's been 3 years but if you're still around, can you rule out The Cure?
