SOLVED. Which Diana Palmer book is it??? [s]

Hi!

So the book I am looking for is a Diana Palmer book. I only remember one specific scene.

I remember the heroine being hopelessly in love with the hero but the hero was fighting his attraction by being close to another woman. This woman visited him regularly and was attracted to the hero as well.

In the specific scene, the heroine is trying to catch a chicken(?). Its runs out into the path a car being driven by the other woman. I remember she was very remorseful and was kinder to the heroine after that accident.

Thats the specific book i am looking for.




On the other hand, I was also wondering about one of palmers characters from another book in the texans series.
He was a secondary character. I remember he had a ranch, he was divorced and his ex wife visited him...not sure why (maybe they had a child?)...I remember she was wondering if her ex husband was involved with his secretary.
Ive always wondered if the male character got his own book? Do you guys know??
