Desiree I really enjoy Susan Elizabeth Phillip's quirky characters. I've recently decided to reread all of by books by her because they manage to pull me in, make me laugh, and sometime even make me cry (always a sign that I've been pulled into the story line).

I enjoyed "Ain't She Sweet" because she is the imperfect heroine who hasn't/isn't always sweet and nice (no pun intended) and she's got a brain to make the most of a difficult situation.

Kelly I really liked this book. Did anyone else not really like Winnie? I know I was supposed to empathize with her, but for some odd reason I could never muster any real emotion for her plight. Maybe I thought Sugar Beth's problems with her dad warranted more sympathy.

Elisabeth This is an absolute favourite for me and yes Kelly I didn't like Winnie either. Didn't you find it harsh that Sugar Beth's jerk of a dad actually disowned her and yet nobody seemed to think anything wrong about that. I mean this 20 year old was already orphaned by the death of her mother and the father who basically ignored her all her life and was loaded actually cut her off without a penny.

I realise that she was mean and when she came back she did have some bridges to mend namely Colin, Ryan and Winnie, however no-one else in the town thought anything of the fact that one of their supposed pillars of the community had actually cheated her of her inheritance.

I still think that this is one of the greatest heroines ever written. She's like a kick ass paranormal heroine and I love that she got the richest, best looking and smartest guy in the town and that he apreciated her for exactly those characteristics.

Alodnza María I really love her books because the heroine is not perfect, they always have problems, they're crazy, fun, stuburn, unique, beautiful in their oun way; but Sugar Beth, she was une of the best, i loved the way she was, how she didn't care what people think of her she had a purpose in mind and she had to do it no mater what or how could get in her way

Ini I love all, well almost all of her books. Her protaganists are always hilarious, upbeat and memorable. You never know what they would say. Can't wait for her next book.

Elizabeth Great read!

Lady do u guys know what is the wedding present that sugar beth gave to colin?

Annette I generally love Ms Phillip's books. This is like most of them, I laugh out loud and know she has hit the mark. Her heroines are generally smart, and I like that a lot. I was not crazy about the last book, it just did not get me, or I did not get it.

April Pretty sure the wedding present was her being pregnant
