Fiona McGier | 128 comments Not happy about not getting paid, since I'm a sub in 2 high school districts, and I get nada if I'm not in the schools. Luckily husband is able to work from home, and still get paid.

On the bright side, I don't usually get time to write or promote until the summer, when I'm off both jobs. I've got an interracial (that's the only kind of romance I write, since it mirrors real life), romance out involving werewolves, and a red-headed Irish woman and a Hispanic male. There's also a second romance in it involving her best friend since grade school, a Black gay man, and the werewolf she introduces him to. It's on sale at my publisher's site for $3.49. Grab it now, and escape into a new world.

I am sorry to hear that you are not getting paid for not being able to sub while school is out.

I do not read paranormal books or books about homosexuals.

Kimberly Hereford | 9 comments Praying that we all come out of this experience, healthy, kinder and wiser. I am spending this time really reacquainting me to myself and I—I want to see myself more clearly and with kinder eyes... it’s funny how it is easier to forgive others than it is to forgive ourselves...

SassafrasfromAmazon | 179 comments I hope and pray that all you guys are doing whatever you need to do to keep your loved ones safe. Illinois is on total stay-at-home mandate with the exception of essential services. If one can believe the chump and his minions, everyone will get paid. I remain skeptically optimistic (is that a thing)? Well, I have plans—I will be READING🤣🤣🤣. God bless you guys. You are an awesome bunch, and I am glad to be apart of this group and a member of Goodreads.⭐️📚

M.F. Hopkins | 28 comments Agreed. I'm lucky in that I'll still be getting paid, and I'm not due back to work until April 6th, I believe. (I should check...lol).
I'll be doing a lot of reading and writing, but I'll have to venture out soon for more food and supplies.
Stay safe and sane, everyone!

The guy on the cover of your book looks like my ex when he was younger (and he has a red-haired Irish mother and a light-skinned Mexican father). LOL

TinaNoir | 1456 comments Hope everyone is staying healthy and finding ways to keep their spirits up.

I am just finding all this so very surreal.

I work mostly with computers & data analysis. So I have always been able to work from home and in fact, I work from home twice a week. But we were told last week we had to work from home until May 25th, And even though, like I said, I already work from home two days a week, adding those three other days and knowing it is going to extend into May is doing weird things to me psychologically.

I mean, I just realized how much I needed that ability to go into work and interact with my co-workers. My boss must be the same way because she has set up a daily hour-long video chat on Microsoft Teams where all of us we can do a daily catch up and discuss any issues as a group. But by Friday everyone was kinda fried and we were just trading ideas on what to binge watch. LOL.

I will say, it is interesting to do video meetings. Nobody has any issues dressing casually....real casually. LOL. I mean, people who I usually see with their full hair and make up and in business wear have no problems logging on in hoodies and sweats. It is weird.
