Sarah | 18549 comments Thanks KimeyDiann. They are amazing! I don't think I could bring myself to actually use them though - I'd feel bad. when I was a kid and received chocolate shaped bunnies and chicks at Easter I couldn't eat them.

Sandra (sanlema) | 11257 comments Wow, that's art.

message 254: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie That's so cool!!

message 255: by KimeyDiann (new)

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments I was trying to figure out where to buy this tea at and if it was a real thing or just beautiful art... it is real. One tea bag is $15 or a box of 12 is $60. There are three different types of tea available.

message 256: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Oh, how beautiful, Kimmey, but I agree, it would be hard to use them.

Ah, Sarah. I always started from the bottom up! ☺

message 257: by Tasha (new)

Tasha That's awesome. Thanks for sharing the pic!

message 258: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59850 comments That is really neat.

message 259: by Marcus (new)

Marcus | 862 comments I found a new place for loose leaf tea based out of Portland that I like. It's called tea chai tae and you can google it. I ordered their vanilla peach apricot and coconut oolong and both are very yummy with just a splash of milk

message 260: by Marcus (new)

Marcus | 862 comments Sorry I haven't been on the thread in a while but yeah the plantain coconut has notes of coconut and green banana...it's a great afternoon tea

message 261: by Tasha (new)

Tasha thanks, I'll check them out. :)

message 262: by [deleted user] (new)

I have recently switched to a lovely Jasmine Petal tea, a delicious Vanilla Rooibos, and a spicy Chai. They are all quite good, and surprisingly caffeine-free!

message 263: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I treated myself to some teas and a mug from Mighty Teas yesterday. Can't wait for them to get here!

message 264: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I am drinking "nothing tea". If you read or listened to The Martian, you know that this is hot water, with nothing in it. His version of coffee, after he ran out of the food packets, was hot water with a cafine pill disolved in it. After he ran out of cafine pills he just had "nothing tea". He tried making tea out of potato peelings but it was not good.

message 265: by Kazen (new)

Kazen Cherie, I remember reading somewhere about some kind of monks (Buddhist?) that drink hot water as a matter of course, so you're in good company. ^^

message 266: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59850 comments Potato peel might make a good hooch, but never tea! LOL! I chuckled when I read that about nothing tea.

message 267: by Tejas Janet (new)

Tejas Janet (tejasjanet) | 3513 comments My sis-in-law in KL makes nothing tea for everyone to drink at breakfast before eating. Something about the warming properties is supposed to be good for digestion and metabolism. Plus hydrating for day. She's very health conscious. Good thing with the 3 new babies, who are growing like topsy.

message 268: by Sandra, Moderator (new)

Sandra (sanlema) | 11257 comments My husband has a Chinese work partner who drinks nothing tea every day with his lunch.

message 269: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments During the day, when I do not feel like tramping downstairs to get a coffee re-fill, I go to the break room and top off what is left in my cup with boiling water from the-under-the-sink hot water heater. That is my "almost nothing tea".

message 270: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Has anyone ever tried the kcups of tea for the keurig? I'm wondering if they have more flavor than the tea bags.

message 271: by Tasha (new)

Tasha No but I would think that the bags have more flavor since you can steep them.

message 272: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Thanks, Tasha :)

message 273: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie The Walmart here seems to be lacking in different kinds of tea..more like that I am willing to try ;) I have found I don't like the fruit tasting ones. Mostly like the chai, salted Carmel and green tea :) I do add milk and sugar though :)

message 274: by Tasha (new)

Tasha Do you have a TJMaxx or a Marshall's nearby? I haven't bought any tea from there but I often see many there.

message 275: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie We have both! I will check them out! Thanks, Tasha :)

message 276: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I had a cup of Earl Gray tea made in the Keurig tonight. It was ok. I normally use Stash Earl Gray. The Chai spice tea that my daughter had was very good though.

message 277: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Thanks, Cherie :) maybe I will try the chai one. I've never had earl grey before. Is there much flavor to it?

message 278: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments To me, the Earl Gray has a smoky, earthy flavor. It is not flowery.

message 279: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I've always heard that starting the day with warm water and lemon juice was good for you.

message 280: by Tasha (new)

Tasha I've heard the same. Haven't done it though.

message 281: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Have heard the same as well, but have not tried it either.

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19202 comments When I was performing as singer, hot water before a warm up was great. Not sure about added health benefits (besides lemon juice being an antiseptic) but sounds like a decent plan each day. I still do it when I'm sick.

message 283: by Tasha (new)

Tasha When I was sick last month with a major sinus thing and about to fly, I was told to drink ginger tea. I had to grate ginger root, add water to cover the ginger, steep it and then add lots of honey to make a syrup. I added some to hot water and it worked wonders! I added lemon too when it had it.

message 284: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments My grandfather drank a small glass of hot water with lemon in it every morning. He added a teaspoon of honey just before he drank it down. He always made a face and said it was sour but insisted that it was good for him. I am sure that my grandmother drank it too, but she was always up very early and I never saw her.

Janice (jamasc) | 59850 comments Those are so cool! Earl Grey is my favourite tea.

message 289: by Tasha (new)

Tasha Those are really fun!

message 290: by Rusalka, Moderator (new)

Rusalka (rusalkii) | 19202 comments ooo present options. Mine too, Janice. Here the default is English Breakfast though, which I cannot stand.

message 291: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59850 comments The peach tea sounds good too. I have a Peach Mango tea that I really enjoy and can't seem to find anymore. It's a white tea. Yum!

message 292: by Sandra, Moderator (new)

Sandra (sanlema) | 11257 comments So far these three are the only ones available, buy they are planning to "release" a "Pride and peppermint" soon. :)

message 293: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Oooh! Those are fun!! I will look forward to the peppermint! I love peppermint tea :)

Almeta (menfrommarrs) | 11456 comments I liked the Pippi Oooolong Stocking idea, but it is not available either, yet.

Really cute ideas.

Sarah | 18549 comments These are great. Another vote for the Earl Grey one. I wonder what novel rooibus could be used for?

Rob Rooibos MacGregor!☺

message 298: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18549 comments I thought about Ian Rankin's Inspector Rooibos series but it's not a classic like the others are and it's a series not a novel. I like yours Almeta.
