Kelley York was a genius on creating this book, she incorporated many twists and turns. I never knew what was going to happen next. Especially when chance kissed hunter unexpectedly , that was a huge shocker. Chance was a very weird character in this book, he kept secrets from his true friends. The questions that still run through my mind are, was hunters father even beating his mother and if hunter was so innocent why was he running from the cops once he was saved from the island. Also will there be a part 2, will chance ever contact Ashlyn and hunter again, will hunter decide to get back together with his ex. well over all this book was very intriguing.

(view spoiler)[ Chance's father was beating both Chance and his mother. The final video Hunter and Ashlyn watched -where they heard but couldn't see a raging argument between Chance and both parents. Chance's dad says "put it down -she was gonna leave us both!", (insinuating chance was the one now holding the gun and revealing he'd caught the mum set to leave Chance behind with his abusive dad). Then there's a gun shot and the dad starts bellowing and Chance stays silent. Chance wasn't innocent -he shot his mum for betraying him. He knew Hunter and Ashlyn would work it out when they watched the video. He was glad they found the video as evidence to get his dad put away for the abuse he doled them but he knew he couldn't stay around. So he left. (hide spoiler)]

The ending shattered my heart into a million squillion pieces but...I kinda think it was perfect.

I adored Chance -he's one of my most favouritist broken boys -and I'd love a sequel where he gets his happy ending. York apparently has an idea for possible 2nd book but isn't sure it'll work yet, and that's the thing -a sequel could potentially just ruin it and that would be a travesty :/
