Juan Devoto That's practically all I remember. I first started this book around 5 years ago in my school's library, I never got back to it, then forgot about it. When I went back to ask, they didn't know they book either. Anyways, the book was set up like this: the protagonist—most likely a man—was visiting an alien planet and was in a 'group visit', staying at a hotel (that had a huge waterfall near, I believe). They were waiting for the bus (I think it was a levitating bus?) that would take them along many tourist spots and would take them to see some odd animals that existed in this planet. If I'm not wrong, the group also had a red-haired woman present whom the protagonist describes one time, probably taking an interest in her. Well, they hop onto the bus and in the middle of the trip the bus stops. They ask why and the driver tells them that an interplanetary strike of transport (or something else related) is taking place and so they couldn't move. That's where I left the book I think. I thought it was Dune (have never read it), but it's not it. I'd greatly appreciate all the help, thank you! It's most probably a sci-fi book depicting an utopian-dystopic future, and was probably written in the 90s, though it could be more recent. Ah, I'm not sure but I think the cover was blue with an image in the center of it. This was a Spanish edition though, so mind that.

Tess | 439 comments Sounds like something that would happen in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, but I can't pinpoint it for sure.

Kat (tadpoledrain) | 547 comments I don't think it's Hitchhiker's Guide, unless it's in the stuff that was published after Adams died.
