Maybe since April is the 4th month, it could be books related to 4- number in the title
- number in the series
- publish date (in April, on the 4th, or year ending in 4)
- "four" in line of book
I've had the whole day away from people so maybe I've gone a bit extra haha.

Haha I'm still working on the idea!!
I suggest more that are a week or 10 days long! I love them but sometimes the super short ones fall on days when I can’t read much and imagine that would happen to others too so then I miss the only one for the entire month which is sad 😢 lol
Maybe a series in progress related one? Where you read all books that are 2nd or higher in series that you’ve already started to try and make progress? I know I have tons of series going I want to make progress on lol
Keri I am in the same boat! I’ve started so many series plus I have standalone TBR it’s so hard to stay on track!
Thanks for your suggestions!! I'll see what I can do for the future ones! I also like longer ones since there's more time to update them and check in with everyone.
For October, we could do one where you have to find monsters/magical creatures in books. Like if there is a vampire, witch, etc featured.
Something with mystery/thrillers would be so cool. I keep thinking of the game Cluedo so maybe something related to that? ^^
It would be fun to have something on the side of an usual monthly challenge with only manga/graphic novels - as they mostly stay unread, because they never count for challenge prompts.
June readathon idea... Philly Pride Flag Cover Color Challenge.... Books with covers in... Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple :)
Is there any chance of doing week-long or weekend readathons? A page count goal with a book challenge? Examples below: Readathon running 1/5 to 1/10 - read 400 pages, and one of your books must have snow or a snowflake on the cover
Readathon running 1/5 to 1/8 - read 200 pages, and see how many of your in progress books you can finish
I know this is SUPER late, but I thought of a monthly challenge idea as I saw the lovely almost-full moon last night. MONTH OF MOONS.So, for January, people can pick a book they've read before now (but in January) because we're already half way through).
My idea is using the different names for the moons for each month, so... (examples)
January = wolf moon
- book with wolf/wolves in the title/cover
- book about wolves
- book set in the forest
February = snow moon
- book set in winter
- book with 75%+ white on cover
- book with snow on cover
March = sugar moon
- sweet contemporary
- happily ever after
- book where people use pet names for each other
April = pink moon
- 75%+ pink cover
- character with pink hair
- title has 'pink' or word associated with it in (rose, rosy, blush, red(?), coral, salmon, fuschia, rouge (?))
May = flower moon
- flowers on the cover
- character name after a flower
- contains gardening
June = strawberry moon
- red cover 75%+
- fruit on the cover
- set in summer
July = buck moon
- stag on front
- involves a stag/stags
- involves character going stag to something (or a stag do)
August = sturgeon moon
- fish on cover
- fish in title
- set by the sea
September = corn moon
- 75%+ yellow cover
- involves vegetable growing
- is a 'corny' book (?)
October = hunter's moon
- weapon on cover
- MC has special weapon/skill at weaponry
- involves search/hunt for someone/thing
November = mourning moon
- sad ending
- involves a character who is dead
- involves a funeral
December = cold moon
- icy: silver on cover
- set in cold country/world
- cold or related word in title (ice, snow, frost, winter...)
And if there's a blue moon this year (I haven't checked)
blue moon =
- 75%+ blue cover
- involves rare object
- a book that you would NEVER normally read.
What do people think?
(I'm so nervous posting this but I had the idea and even though I'm late I thought I'd just put it out there... please be kind *hides*)

Maybe since July is disability pride month and minority disability month we could read books about one of those topics
ahh i have many suggestions SERIES RELATED- Anna and the French kiss (#1) ,Lola and the boy next door(#2),Isla and the happily ever after(#3) By Stephanie Perkins(Popular must read rom series)
STAND ALONES - The Wake-Up Call By Beth O'Leary(very popular enemies to lovers) & The cheat sheet By Sarah Adams
AUTHOR RELATED - Colleen Hoover (Never Never, Without Merit & Regretting You - all good booktok books)
WE COULD HAVE monthly suggestions about which books to read and a change in page goal during shorter and longer months
WE COULD HAVE different themes during these months (My personal favourite genre is rom-com and i wouldn't mind exploring other genres).
WE COULD vote on the theme/subject/genre we read about.
These are just some ideas btw -
Hope you consider these (:
