Okay, I love the Harry Potter books possibly more than anyone on the whole planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-) It's way more than obsession for me, okay!!!!!!!!!! ;-) I know Harry could never be evil. I love Harry!!!! {Believe me I have hundreds of people who could back me up on this :D} But I'm just saying that there could have been a POSSIBILITY that he might have been evil if Voldemort had taken him over! But don't worry I love Harry and would never think badly of him!!! ;-) so that's that!!! ;-)

Who ever wrote that comment about Harry Potter posibly being evil they must have been drunk when they wrote that because Harry Potter was the wan who killed Voldamort the bad guy so that kinda shows that Harry Potter is not evil i will haunt who ever wrote that comment got that

Hey,uh... no offence or anything, but you don't have to be drunk to hate harry potter. Don't get me wrong, I didn't start this disscussion, and I like harry potter quite a bit, but I know TONS of ppl who won't even watch the movies cuz they hate Harry Potter so much. Trust me... they aren't drunk. I can see why some ppl think Harry might be evil. I think he's good, but then again, I doubt the writer would turn him evil. Too many ppl would object. Though I'm sure she cares about Harry, but she probably cares a little more about how well it will sell. At times in the book, it did seem like Harry wasn't exactly "good" but not "evil" either. I think the movies make ppl (especially parents) think that Harry is a brat. I really don't like the moives, because of that. I mean, they are constantly making him seem disrespectful and like he has huge anger problems. He wasn't like that in the book though.... Well, I think I've said enough for now...
I beg to differ with you about having to be drunk to hate Harry Potter. You'd have to be insane or purposely blind-folded. There is nothing evil, remotely evil about him. He is a boy portrayed with the usual childhood and adolescent traits - he is portrayed as human, albeit in extraordinary circumstances. He has a wonderful heart.

In reply to Clare's comment about the movies, I think that the Harry Potter movies are some of the best book movies I've seen. I thought they were really well made. I'm assuming that you are reffering to the 5th movie when you talk about the anger issues. And if that is what you were refering to I have to say I disagree that they make him seem more angry in the movie. I thought that they downplayed his anger in that movie actually. I remember a lot more of him yelling in the book. Not that that's bad, it's just your typical teenage moodiness.

Ok so Harry isn't evil, but if he had a piece of Voldemort in him, he could have been evil. A lot of people have at least a little evil. Angry is not evil though, so I think that with everything that has happened to him and his natural charater he's not evil.

I am glad that this series is done... I hope though in 10 years or so a new chapter will begin....

But he'd be so much more interesting if he was evil! Harry's a pretty boring character. He's not flawed enough, he doesn't have enough inner strife to make him matter to me. I'm afraid that the only characters that I really like in the entire series are Luna and Neville, not because they're interesting as much as funny and cool. Fred and George are ok, too. But the rest are idiots.

Well I'll add myself to that list but I agree with the writers of the movies making Harry seem a bit evil but once you compare him to the novels the you begin to question the writers and directors of the movies. And like many others have said I love Harry Potter. Heck when I get in trouble my Mom confiscates my book, she's evil.
Harry "more evil" in the movies than the books? How so? Please elaborate, someone.
