Has the option to set a default description been removed? Did I miss an announcement?

OK, well I was just editing a description and the option was *not* there on either the edition I was editing nor on the edition where I got a better description.
I believe you Elizabeth ... maybe a glitch??The book I checked was https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Perhaps. That's why I was asking. It was interesting, because the edit page told me how many editions were using the description on that edition (which I did not verify). I sort of thought that couldn't be without specific programming.
I like having the default description, but it is not without its problems.
And, by the way, the book in question now is displaying the "set default description" language. Perhaps it didn't have a default? I don't know. (What a way to start the day!)
Not sure now that we have daylight savings, but in January, we're 20 hours from Melbourne. I think it's 19 year this time of year. You're up late - and I'm an early riser.
