Kirstin Steele | 4 comments I like to check bookmooch when I stumble across things I'd like to read... do you know if there's a way to cross-check my "to-read" list with bookmooch (other than actually GOING to bookmooch, I mean)?

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) There is a way but I'm not sure I can actually tell you- I will try though! :)
If you go to any books page, like this one-
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/64...

right underneath the description you'll see a very light gray 'find at' and then some links should be there. GR uses default links, I think amazon and a few others but you can change that. I use BookMooch, paperbackswap and amazon myself. Now I just have to remember how to change it and let you know.
Okay- right after those links there is a link you can click on in (I think) dark green that says 'more options'. If you click on that it'll take you to a page where on the right side you'll see an area that says 'find this book at:' and then across from that you'll see 'customize order'- click on that and you'll be where you need to be. On the right side of this new page there is a list of all the sites you can use and a link that can 'add' them. And on the left side you can put them in whatever order you want them to be at.
I hope this helps- I hope this is what you wanted. I use the feature all the time and it comes in handy a lot. There is probably an easier way to get to where I told you to go- possibly through settings or something but this was the way I remembered and found. If you need any more help let me know. :)

the instructions were very easy to follow too, thank you :)

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) Thanks Naomi, I just got the notification for this and had forgotten I wrote it. lol
paperbackswap can be linked also and that's invaluable if you're in the U.S. with their wish and reminder lists! I just wish my library was up there. Some are but not mine. :( If you live in a bigger city, like maybe N.Y. or Washington you'd have a chance of finding it though.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) The only thing I wish PBS would change is that it's only for U.S. residents. I guess I can see their reasoning but it's really such a wonderful site and I know they'd grow so much bigger if they expanded. Maybe they will someday.
I wouldn't mind going back to BM someday either but hopefully if and when I do John will have decided to change a few things. Good luck on there Naomi! I hope you find the books you're looking for!

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) I don't see PBS going international because they'd have to change the credit charges. Probably too hard on a system that's already up and running. Maybe someday they'll do a seperate international one where those who want to do international trading can sign up and do both sites. I don't usually bother with the International trade because I don't need the extra pts and the postage is so expensive.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) Hahaha, we're having the same conversation in two different places. lol I think you're right although I wish you weren't. :( I'd love PBS so much more if it were world-wide. The selection would be better and maybe some other things would come from it too.
When I first started at BM I didn't send internationally and then I started because a few out of country friends needed help. Then I kind of liked the extra points until I started having far too many to ever use and couldn't find any books any longer. I still log on to mooch for a few friends that live outside the U.S. and sometimes if I get a wishlist email for a book I really want I'll get on. But that's about it. :(
But the forums were always horrible when I was on too so now that they're back up maybe that would help make the site better for me. Thanks for letting me know that!

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) I'm using it much more now that the forums are actually useable. They still aren't super active but it makes me feel like there is a real site and other bookmoochers out there.

I stopped doing international because I ended up with like 50 pts there and could never find a book to mooch. I get so many more books from PBS. I get so many WL books from PBS that I put my WL on hold sometimes to catch up on credits and my TBR. But I'm luck if I get 2 or 3 WL books a year on bookmooch. And I check the account a couple of times a day. But I only recently learned how to add books to my WL quickly instead of it taking 5 clicks for each book. And now I'm getting ready to move but can't change my address yet so I can't mooch anything for now.

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) I'm about the same with the books from BM. But I don't check it either. I only go there if I get the email and sometimes I get that late and the books gone. I think a lot of people have stopped using it. I know a lot of my friends have. PBS is what I hear people mention most often. And awhile back John started a conversation asking why PBS was growing and people suggested all sorts of things and nothing changed at all.... except the forums of course. :(

Suzanne | 35 comments That was my thought: that everyone was using PBS instead. BUT, I have 4 books mooched from me in that past week. I was shocked.
John has revamped the site; you should take a look.
