She opened the door slowly looking up at him with big scared deer eyes. "Y-you can stay here..@

"Thank you." Max said gratefully. "And... I'm sorry for being a jerk and not telling you the truth."
"Your friends life was in danger... What were you suppose to do?" She asked, she sounded calm but it was obvious she was terrified.
Max stayed silent for a moment, then said, "Tell you the truth. Or at least not stab you when your back was turned."
She tilted her head "you didn't stab me.. Wait did you?!" She said nervously.
"No." Max says quickly. "It's a figure of speech. It means to betray you."
"Oh... Psh I knew that.." She said pretending not to be embarrassed
"Of course you did." Max says with a slight smile.
She blushed and said "so carter.. He's going to be killed?" She asked max nervously looking over to the knight.
"Not if I have any say in it." Max says, giving a fake smile, trying not to make her worry.
"but you don't.." She said and walked over to carter grabbing him by the arm pulling him away from the door and started to whisper something in elvish and she started to flow purple
Max watched with wide eyes, confused. He starts to protest, then stops. Doe wouldn't hurt Carter. Would she?
She opened her eyes slowly, and when she was done she walked over to carter and kissed him gently in the lips then, walked over to max and kissed him on the lips then turned and walked back into the living room.
Max, still shocked, said nothing. Then he shook it off and went after Doe. "Wait! What was that? What did you do?" He asked quickly.
"The only way to get out of a spell is by the casters kiss. No one will be able to touch carter but me and you." She said with a slight blush.
Max looks up at Carter, then back at Doe. "So... No one can hurt Carter. He's safe?" He asked, wanting to believe it.
"No one. Unless I have kissed them giving them access to carter, which is only me and you." She said. With a nodA bright smile spread across his gave.
Max nodded, then teased, "Just don't go around kissing everyone and we should be good."
"Dang." She said "I guess I have to change my lifestyle now." She said pretending to be very upset.
Max grinned, then quickly grew serious. "That means we can go back. No one can hurt him, so my father has absolutely no leverage on me."
"You... You want to go back..?" She whispered then said "yes.. Yes you can.."
"No, I don't want to." Max says quickly. "I don't want to go back. I'm just trying to look at all the options. If I have any say in it, I'll never go back."
"You can leave." She said with a sad look in her eyes.
Max grinned. "I just said I don't want to." He said, then frowned. "Unless you want us to leave."
Max nodded. "Then it's settled. Unless you want to go back, now that you're not in danger?" Max asked Carter. He didn't want to go, but if Carter did, then he wasn't sure he would be able to say no.
"Heck no!" He said as if that the dimmest question ever!
Max grinned. "Alrighty then. I guess we're staying." He said, looking at Doe.
Die smiled ((So sorry for the short post I'm half asleep and sick))
Max nodded, then walked to the window. "What do you do here?" He asked, glancing back at Doe.((It's all good. Hope you feel better soon!))
"What do you mean?" She asked walking over to him
"I mean, what do you do for fun." Max said, looking back out the window with a frown. "Or do you work?" He didn't think that the creatures of the forest had economies, but he could be wrong.
She laughed "I'm a healer." She said with a giggle the village is past those trees.. But I don't live in the village it's bad luck." Doe said walking over to him
"A healer? That's cool." He said, turning to look at Doe. "Why's it bad luck to live in the village?"((Poor Carter. He seems like such a third wheel...))
((He's outside doing something... I think?))"It's not bad luck to live inside the village if you are anything but a healer.. But healers need to live outside of the village... It's always been a rule. I never actually thought about why." She admitted with a slight laugh.
((Oh.))"That's," Max paused, looking for the right word. "Valid. I guess." Max finished with a small laugh.
She laughed at his words, shearling her head and looking away embarrassed, though she wasn't hire why she was.
Max looked away, then looked back. "How old are you?" He asked suddenly.
"19" she said smiling a bit "you?"
She smiled brightly at him. She look deep into his eyes and bit her lip looking away
Max smiled back, his smile widening slightly when she looked away.
Doe went over to the kitchen and started to clean the dishes blushing as she thought about max
Max sat down on the log couch and rubbed his face in his hands. Jeez, he was such an idiot. Why did he have to go and tie her up without really thinking. At least it didn't look like she was holding a grudge.
