I remember reading this in perhaps middle school so we're talking mid 60's. One of the kids has a neighbor who is a scientist and has built a computer. The kids have access and decide to "teach" it how to do their homework for them.

Of course in the end they realize that they've had to learn what they'd been "teaching" the machine to do for them.

Does anyone else recall this book and what it might be called.

I did try a Google search but no joy.
