His profile says he won a New South Wales Premier's Literary Award in 1997, do you have to be an Aussie to be eligible for that award?

Thought you might be interested that I also googled him ( had a slow afternoon at work!) and found that he's currently an Assoc. Professor at Monash University where he is the Director of the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation. He mentions the book under his publications.
Brenda wrote: "An interesting man:)"I actually thought he might be a Doctor now because of that epidemiology book on his author page but there is no mention of that on his Monash page so maybe it belongs to another author of the same name.

Just finished reading my 5th, Audrey of the Outback by Christine Harris (Children's). I read it aloud to my daughter and we both really enjoyed it, she wanted to give it 5 stars but I think it's more like ★★★★. We'll definitely borrow the sequel from the library though.

Finished my second!
Red Queen by Honey Brown 2★'sFirst, this book would probably be better in the horror area. It wasn't particularly scary, it was just icky. Disturbing, dark, unsettling. I do think the author did a really good job; it just wasn't for me. Two down!

I think it is shelved as Horror- also dystopian and Thriller. It is delightfully creepy isn't it. Was my first Honey Brown)
Sally, it was definitely creepy. It made me a little sick to my stomach though. It was highly disturbing. but it was very well done. I'm wondering if all of her books are like this.

No Sarah, that's the only one along those lines. I've read all bar one, The Good Daughter so definitely read more of her :)

Sarah wrote: "Sally, it was definitely creepy. It made me a little sick to my stomach though. It was highly disturbing. but it was very well done. I'm wondering if all of her books are like this."I felt the same way Sarah. I thought it was well written and suspenseful but I disliked all the characters (as you were meant to) and didn't enjoy reading the book. It did put me off reading any more by her for a while but I did really enjoy Through the Cracks and I'm going to try Dark Horse this year.
I haven't read any Honey Brown yet but was planning on trying some this year, maybe Through the Cracks or Dark Horse .... Any ideas?
