Thank you!
Am a bit behind as I didn't organise enough reading material while I was away and ended up reading short stories to fill the time!
I've also been doing the Winter challenge but haven't been organised enough to post! Will do very soon tho'.

MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments Feeling well pleased to have finished the first round of 12 books in my BUSY challenge. (And I'm well into the second round, thankfully.) While I greatly enjoy taking on the monthly and quarterly Auusie Readers challenges, this year-long challenge has been quietly bubbling away in the background, and every so often one more title gets ticked off the list of 24. Even though I did not like some of my choices, I greatly appreciated reading such a variety of Australian stories written by Australian authors. So here's my first 12:
1. Travel
Is That Thing Diesel?: One Man, One Bike and the First Lap Around Australia on Used Cooking Oil by Paul Carter 1★
2. Non-fiction
This House of Grief by Helen Garner 4★s
3. Biography/Memoir
Carry a Big Stick by Tim Ferguson 4★s
4. Classic Australian Literature
Dimboola by Jack Hibberd 1★
5. Suspense/Mystery
Bereft by Chris Womersley 3.5★s
6. Crime Fiction
St Kilda Blues by Geoffrey McGeachin 4★s
7. Literary Fiction
Book of Lost Threads by Tess Evans 4★s
8. Historical Fiction
Ronan's Echo by Joanne van Os 5★s
9. YA
The Third Day, The Frost by John Marsden 3.5★s
10. Humour
All That Happened At Number 26 by Denise Scott 4★s
11. Romance
Above The Fold by Peter Yeldham 4★s
12. Contemporary Fiction
Addition by Toni Jordan 4.5★s

Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

message 688: by Kerri (new)

Kerri Green OK so my challenge has been failing but after about 5 months I've read another from my list:
5. Young Adult: Boys of Blood & Bone
This book got me in and even shed a few tears whilst at the same time leaving me with a sense of 'just another digger story'. I also felt a sense of the tone and atmosphere of Tim Winton but without his tremendous style.
I'm inspired to get going again. Shame on life getting in the way of my books.
Started next book.
