MaryG2E (goodreadscommaryg2e) | 934 comments Grrr, sometimes the choices I make...
On this and other threads in Aussie Readers, I have stated that I am interested to revisit and re-read some of the classic books of my youth and early adulthood - a bit of a nostalgia trip if you like. As part of the Australian Authors Challenge, I elected to refresh my knowledge of a well-known and very successful play of the 1970s, Dimboola by prominent Melbourne playwright of the era, part of the legendary Pram Factory collective, Jack Hibberd.
Wow, was I disappointed. Couldn't recommend this play to anyone to read. Grudgingly I've given it one star, simply for its interest as an historical artefact.
Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
