Lana Pinero | 2 comments I still have somewhat of a good memory of this Harlequin Romance Special Edition novel. I found it in an abandoned room of a high school girl in 1998. I was in high school myself back then. The story has captured my imagination ever since. Unfortunately in 1999, we had to move places I forgot to bring it. When I found out months later I looked for it in the old house and I saw pages of it all wet and just destroyed, pages gone.

Story goes like this. They met in high school, he was in the football team, she was a cheerleader. They had a high school romance but they broke up after a while. I think he did something terrible and she can't forgive him then. So she moved away to another city vowing never to come back.

Well, a decade later her uncle/grandpa died and she was named in the will to inherit his house. She had to come back to settle it with no plans of staying.... until one fateful moment she bumped into his high school sweetheart in town. Her feelings of anger and hurt all came rushing back, but he was not willing to let her go this time.

I didn't want to forget this book. After I learned that it got destroyed, I wrote the title of it on the wall in my room. Went to college, got a job, still searching for it. Unfortunately had to move out, our house got renovated. But I never forgot this book. 20 long years I am still searching.

The book was from the late 70s to early 80s. I am not sure of the exact year. I was in high school when I read it and even at that time I thought gee this book is old. Early 80s perhaps.

I searched Harlequin romance novels catalog but the title Back to Eden just isn't there. I am at my wit's end.
