Week 2
Option 1

Kiss of Vengeance by S. Young
Pages: 400 (GR)
Qualification: #177 on Villains Need Love Too
Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
There's nothing as delicious as an immortal contemplating their mortality.
Edward may have first peaked my appetite for it in Twilight, but Fionn has satisfied it (for now) in Kiss of Vengeance. Particularly in a time of self-isolation & social distancing, Rose & Fionn's travels through Europe - Fae First Class, of course - also sated another craving: my wanderlust.
Absolutely ravenous for the two (two?) remaining books in the series (view spoiler) .

I enjoyed this as much the 2nd time as I did the first. Maybe it's that the lead character is a dog lover, or maybe that I love the idea of dating a property brother type, but it was totally enjoyable. After a hurricane, the 2 lead characters go on a journey to help pets left behind on their small island in the Florida keys. There are great characters with fun personalities, in an original environment in this easy to read romantic chick lit.

Week #2

Rating: 5 stars
Review: I read this book in January this year and this was my first re-read of it and so far The Sweetest Oblivion remains my favorite book of 2020. This is a mafia romance book but I felt like there was more romance than mafia action in it but despite that, I absolutely adored this book and I definitely loved Elena's family, especially her sister. She was kind of strange but also very funny. I wish we can get to read her book too!

Actually, I've already read this series and this is my second time reading this book. Personally, my favorite one is The Master but I can see why yours is The Player. Its ending was mind-blowing. I can't say I saw that one coming but I suspected it midway through the book.

Oo, Fix Her Up was really good! And I loved the second in the series, Love Her or Lose Her. I haven't read many romances where the couple are already married, so it was a sweet change of pace.

Week #3

The High King's Golden Tongue
Author: Megan Derr
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review: I really like the book. The worldbuilding was great. I like motives that run through the book. One is grief from losing a loved one and guilt from moving on. Second is fear of not living up to expectation. The story was good, whit a few twists and turns. Well developed characters. I thought the relational interplay between the two main characters in book was exceptional, complex, and culminated in a lovely, satisfying ending. It was refreshing that the main character prince Allen is competent. He is smart, charming and really good deduction. He treated everyone with courtesy and respect but at the same time, he didn't come off as being a pushover.

This was a really fun story. I really liked both of the lead characters and loved their relationship and the insight we were given into their insecurities. They were fun together, with her slightly awkward flirting and his playboy reputation. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Review: This is the second week that I liked the book I picked but didn't love it. The "falling in love" part of the story overstretched the idea of insta-love. I also didn't think the pirates would have abandoned the women without trying to take them back and that was never even brought up.

This was a fun story about a young woman who wins a trip to Ireland. She intends to use the trip to "find herself" after a breakup. She comes from a bad home life, fully blames herself for her relationship failing, and considers herself unfixable. Of course, when she reaches Ireland, things don't go quite as planned. The moment she arrives she is met by the owner of the inn she is staying at and is instantly attracted to him. The two bond over difficult childhoods that left them with the feeling of being unworthy of love. It was fun to watch the two of them start with an initial attraction that both belive has an end date of one month, only to find themselves deeply in love and unwilling to part with one another.

Week #4

The Hurricane
Author: R.J. Prescott
Rating: ⭐️⭐️
Review: Honestly this was just OK for me. The main issue I had whit book was that I didn't connection with either the hero or the heroine. This was your sort of stereotypical New Adult love story with an abused main character. Heroine gets over all of her deep-rooted issues practically overnight after meeting the hero.

So I just finished and want to get this posted quick: It was freaking incredible. I am not ashamed to say it is probably my favorite book. If you enjoyed the world building and storytelling of Cassandra Clare and Holly Black, you'll love this! Reminiscent of Angels' Blood (but, like, so incredibly better).

Review
It took me awhile to get into this book, but once committed, I was hooked. I loved Stefan and Charlotte together. They were best friends and it showed. I was less involved with Rand - I thought he went from horrible person to committed to Stefan so fast it didn't seem real.
