Another short scary stories for children collection I read this was 2002, I believe, had a story about a girl who was going to a school dance (prom?) It was snowing outside and her mom insisted she take her winter boots with her. She refuses and her car breaks down and she is forced to walk miles in the snow in her heels. The story ends with her in the hospital because she had to have her feet/legs amputated.
