I've not read it myself but it does have a music tag and one of the characters is a musician, so I will accept it.

I haven't read Cellist either. Some other music themed books are: Amadeus, The Pianist and Ragtime

For what it is worth, I hated A Visit from the Goon Squad."

I'm looking forward to reading Bel Canto - have heard a lot of good things about it.

I bought State of Wonder recently and have it on my reading challenge for 2015
Ok so there's been quite a bit of discussion, which is fabulous but it does mean I'm unsure whether some are nominations or not.
Below is what I think are nominations:
- The Cellist of Sarajevo
- The Before Now And After Then
- Bel Canto
- The Soloist: A Lost Dream, an Unlikely Friendship, and the Redemptive Power of Music
- The Wrecking Crew
- A Visit From The Good Sqaud
- Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul, and Rock and Roll
- This Lullaby
Please shout if I've missed your nomination off or put one on that shouldn't be there. Thanks.

Each year, February 3rd is The Day the Music Died Day
(Commemorating the untimely death of singers Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. These three Rock singers died in an airplane crash on February 3, 1959 at the height of their popularity)
Nominations are to be of books with music as a theme e.g. MC is a musician, Author takes us on a musical journey alongside the story etc.
- Please make sure to include book link or book cover link. This can be done by clicking on the 'add book / author' link above the comment box. If not possible (because you're using the mobile app), then make sure you include both book title and author.
Your nomination will not count if not in either of these formats.
- Please refrain from nominating any book that has already been a group read or scheduled to read as part of the Goodreads Choice Award Book Club. These can be found at https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
- Please do not nominate a second (or later) book in a series read. Your nomination will be not counted if you do.
- Only one nomination per person will be accepted.
- Nominations will close on Sunday 21st, 5pm GMT and will be followed by a poll.
