SOLVED. Children's mystery from maybe early 90's or late 80's about a girl who gets kidnapped. [s]

the main Character Is in about 7th grade in the beginning she complains to her friend at lunch that she keeps getting Ballerina stuff because she usted to love to dance or want to be that but now she doesn't.
Eventually a boy I think he is in HS or college, but could be an older man, takes her thinking she is someone she knows. He keeps calling her that name. (I know there is a Shannon, I don't know for sure if that is what he calls her or if that is her real name. I do remember her friend's older sister has a second baby and they make that the baby's middle name in her honor. Also the chactar decides at the end she wants to be a dr or therapist at the end and gerts a moddle brain for her birthday because after everything she wants to help people with mental illness.
I read this in 1994, so it was published during or before this.
