Andrew | 7 comments I read this book in 2013 or 2014. It was about a high schooler who is short and not very popular compared to his friend, who is a popular basketball player. One day he has an encounter with a psychic or it might have just been a wish and he slowly begins to get taller and more popular while a series of bad things happen to his friend like his girlfriend dumping him and his dad losing his job and they essentially switch roles. By the end of the book though the main character feels bad about what has happened and ends up reversing things back to normal

The book was paperback and was dark, I think it had a black border or there was black there. I also believe there were sneakers on the cover, and the title itself it was catchy and the main reason why I picked up the book. It wasn't very long, around 200 pages I think. The genre of the book is confusing, it reads pretty much like a realistic coming of age story except for that fact that the main character steals his friend's positive traits. The copy I had didn't seem that new, maybe it came out in the 2000s, or before then.

I think this is it, thanks! I must have had a different copy but the names and title feel familiar.
