Dominika didn't grow up good as a lot of kids did. She grew up beside a lot of illegal activity and very low hope. According to her, she never had real parents - they were never there. Both of them were druggies and alcoholics, she was just an accident waiting to happen. She was raised in a bad neighbor in San Diego - might explain her bad behavior. She often took refuge at her neighbor's house, where she had only friend - she wasn't any better than Domi herself. Living in this neighbor, and falling into the "wrong crowd" in school led to trouble. She was caught up with the law and was constantly in trouble with her friends. She learned everything - the reason she's so sneaky and good at such things. At the age of fourteen, Domi lost her mother to a car accident. She was upset but at the same time she wasn't - for she never really knew her mom. She's ashamed to even call her them "parents". Most of the time, Domi was out of her home - away from her abusive dad. She usually stayed with friends. Dominika started actually dancing at the age of ten or so - introduced by her neighbors. It seemed to be her escape from the real world as she got older and better at it. She usually only did hip--hop/ street dance but learned ballet from time to time. She was apart of a group of street dancers for the longest time before coming here.

Monroe is very firm in all of the decisions she makes and everything she believes in. It's rather hard to change her mind about anything. She's confident in herself and especially in her dancing; she believes it's the only way to succeed. She's a very reliable friend - once you befriend her, of course. She'll keep your secrets till death do you part and help plot to kill whoever looked at you funny in the hallway. She tries to be as relaxed as she can be; she generally over-stresses about every little thing, so she's been trying to get ahold of herself long enough to convince herself she doesn't have to worry about every aspect of her life, especially the things out of her control. Monroe is particularly witty and sarcastic, sometimes overly sarcastic, but at that point it falls into the "negatives" category. 
иєgαтινє тяαιтѕ: Oh, where to begin. First off: she won't hesitate to say what's on her mind. As in, if she thinks your outfit is hideous and she hates the way you're looking at her, she'll state it. It's major source for drama in her life that she simply can't put a lid on. As for being witty and sarcastic, it usually tends to go over board to the point it's bitchy. Monroe is also very secretive which results in a lot of lost friendships; most people don't want to spend a lot of time with the person they know nothing about, and those who do are her only true friends. She's a very emotional girl, but all of that gets bottled up and channeled into general anger and frustration with reality. She's also sickeningly selfish.

Monroe grew up in the famous city of New York, in the Upper East Side right in the hustle and bustle of the city. She grew up in Sunday brunches and Friday night cocktail parties, with dresses that costed more than her tuition and family members that have been making more money than she can possibly fathom since they arrived in the US. The term "old money" is the only thing she had to hear before she'll start paying attention.
Her mother and father never got along; their constant fighting and crying seemed so normal to her. Divorce was more common than marriages in her circle of family friends, so it didn't come as much of a shock when she found the divorce papers at the age of six. Mom and Dad filed for divorce two years after they had Monroe's brother and only sibling, Julian. Neither of them were old enough to make an official decision of who they wanted to be with and where they wanted to go, but it was no secret that Monroe loved her life in the city and Julian didn't. When she was seven, it became a routine process to visit her mother and brother in Phoenix on her father's dime whenever she desired, and the process has never changed. She accepted the change well.
Monroe considers herself a real-life Blair Waldorf. Drama has been the only thing she's known since she started school, and though it took a lot of clawing with viscous rumors, she finally made it to the top of her school to declare herself as the Queen Bee - that is, until she transferred. She spent her first year of high school in New York, and it wasn't until her second year that she found the National School of Dance, and it was one of the toughest decision of her life to leave New York and her throne behind for the school, but dance has always been the most important thing to her.
