I have been saying for years that I would try the discworld series again. I didn't care for the 1st one but people have said that it was the worst one and to NOT start with that one so... I would be willing to try another one but can't promise anything after that.

yeah i tried to start at the beginning with discworld bc that's just usually what i do but i hated it. i read the death ones and that was pretty good and have read a few of the tiffany aching books which were also pretty good. i just suggested the witches sub-series bc it's one i haven't started on and i know it has female characters in it - which is still my biggest complaint with some of them, that there is like One Female Character and she might be great but it's still not enough.

do we want to try to artemis fowl then? if nothing else it's a longish series so if we like it then we don't have to make another decision for awhile lol
