That's great!

That's probably both good and bad. Introverts and probably loving the staying at home while the poor Extroverts will have to rely on phones and the internet to party and socialize. :)

Also I apologize if this is too personal but when did you move to Spain?"

That's why it's hilarious. But it might have been a joke on my brother's part. He likes to tease me.

I haven't. Just 'vacationing' here. Been here for about 3 months now? Might be here even longer too if they close the airports.

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Yeah, it is good, but I wish the country as a whole had a faster and more comprehensive response instead of relying on individual states to set policy...

I completely agree. :)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Sounds like a fun holiday. When are you slotted to leave? I mean some people consider hair dresses essential...

It is for the most part. Storm Gloria and the virus aside. ^_^

About the 7th of April. So still almost 3 weeks. We are worried we will be trapped here if the country shuts it's borders. :S

I'm not saying they aren't. It's just weird to lump them in with food and medicine is all. lol.

message 307: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I meant it as a joke...I don’t consider them essential like grocers and pharmacies. I am glad it was good apart from this madness and hope you can get home soon.

Ah okay. lol. :P

It was! And thanks! Enjoying the sunshine! It finally got warm in Feb so I've been enjoying the 20 degrees plus weather instead of the -20 degree weather I'd get in Ontario. ^_^

message 309: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I’m sure you are! That sounds so nice! Are you joining next month’s challenge?

message 310: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments It is! It's barely rained either since Gloria. ^_^

I am but only fun since I might be traveling. Don't want to have to force myself to meet 8 books when I could be really stressed. :)

message 311: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 16038 comments Im in the US, Nevada specifically. We just shut down schools and libraries today, but getting TP, food or baby essentials is starting to become hard because everyone is panic buying. Also my daughters birthday is tomorrow so I might not be reading then either. Thankfully I have read the 8 book limit already. I am hoping come the next couple days I can get my reading back on point.

message 312: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 16038 comments I just moved Izzy's 1984 to 2013 so we can get another Bingo.

message 313: by Brittani (new)

Brittani Allen | 399 comments hey guys! I'm gonna be listening to Devil's Knot The True Story of the West Memphis Three (Justice Knot, #1) by Mara Leveritt for 2002 and reading The Princess Bride by William Goldman for 1994 so we can get 2 more bingos :)

message 314: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 16038 comments Yikes the other team is catching up! I should really start reading again.

Awesome!

I have updated the SS to reflect the new books and the changes.

I have moved Jamie's and Beatrice's too short books to the banked for now so we can slot in new books. :)

I still have to post Silverlegs and I'll be finishing Mistress of Rome today so that should help. :)

message 318: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So Sarah seems to have made a mistake somewhere so we have another line unless I missed something. :)

message 319: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So I made a mistake in reading the rules guys. We don't get diagonal points. :( Sorry. Only vertical or horizontal.

message 320: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So I'm not as confident I will finish Mistress of Rome today. There's still abut a 40-50% chance though.

I also still have to do my BR comments for Silverlegs. Will try to get that done soon.

message 321: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments Courtney: I hope you are able to find what you need! I know where I live the shelves are practically empty. When we went last Thursday there was no fruit, vegetables, meat, and chicken. Items like bread and pasta we’re also out.

message 322: by Brittani (new)

Brittani Allen | 399 comments well, I just got a library book that I had on hold for a while so instead of the princess bride I'm reading Once Upon a Dream by Liz Braswell (2016)... hopefully there's still time in the month to read The Princess Bride after I finish this.

message 323: by Megan (new)

Megan (celtic_girl) | 6287 comments Finally was able to get my reviews posted. Planned on writing and posting them this past weekend but my internet wasn't cooperating...very glitchy. :(

message 324: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So guys we are really close to finishing the first board. Unless someone has a book for 1930. I think we should move The Fellowship of the Ring to 1930 and then we just have one CR and two that need to be posted and we are done!

message 325: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (last edited Mar 17, 2020 04:32PM) (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Goals for today:

Do BR comments for Silverlegs by Camilla Monk Mistress of Rome (The Empress of Rome, #1) by Kate Quinn and post

Find a book to read and also try to read some manga.

message 326: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Also, I think we should all decide if we can do another board if we should just focus on lines.

message 327: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I think I'll read Spindle and Dagger by J. Anderson Coats next.

message 328: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (last edited Mar 17, 2020 10:10PM) (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Where is everyone lately? We went from chatty to almost nothing. O.o

message 329: by Claire (new)

Claire Chibi | 1826 comments A lot going on lately so I've been busy! My upcoming exam is potentially going to be deferred due to the virus but I won't know for sure until next tuesday, if it does get deferred though I'm about to have a lot of free time :D

I'm a bit behind on my reviews but I am on schedule for my reading at least!

message 330: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So I think I have the SS up to date on everyone's CR and read. There's some hope we could do another grid.

message 331: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

That's great. ^_^

I am too. I was just going to do my BR comments so that we only had your CR and needing review book for round 1. Well that and a book for 1930.

message 332: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments So guys do you think it's worth it to try to finish a second grid?

message 333: by Claire (new)

Claire Chibi | 1826 comments I dunno, I've put all my books for this month into the grid already, if my exam gets deferred I may manage 1-2 extra books but not more than that since by the time I know, there will only be 1 week left in the month.

I personally don't think so but that's just my opinion. We can still do several lines. :)

message 335: by Claire (last edited Mar 17, 2020 11:12PM) (new)

Claire Chibi | 1826 comments Wow, I had to go to 67 pages of editions (sorted from most recent to oldest) to find a 2012 edition of The Mysterious Affair at Styles, glad to see that Agatha Christie books are still in VERY high demand!

If you make it so there are 100 editions a page it's a bit faster. :)

message 337: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Also I thought you had that book in 93-94?

message 338: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Or did I move it there????

message 339: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments I wish the default was 100 editions per page.

message 340: by Claire (new)

Claire Chibi | 1826 comments Ah, thanks for the tip!

Yeah but whatever was in 2012/2013 got moved/deleted so I thought I'd move it to the blank space, we can always move it back if need be.

message 341: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Jackie wrote: "I wish the default was 100 editions per page."

message 342: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (jackiegirl02) | 4452 comments By the way, sorry I keep crashing your chat.

message 343: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Out of like 10 million or more books on here there are very few who don't have more than 10 editions!

We have a book for 2012. It was 2013 that wasn't excepted and we have another book for that now too.

message 345: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I'll update the first page as I don't think it's exactly the same as the 3 round ones. I thought it was but it isn't.

message 346: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Jackie wrote: "By the way, sorry I keep crashing your chat."

NP. You can never have too many people to chat with! ^_^

message 347: by Claire (new)

Claire Chibi | 1826 comments Ooh ok, I'll change it back to 93-94, I only just posted so it hasn't been counted yet I think
